Awful smell in the room probably of old air coindition

The sink in the bathroom was clogged. The battery sink was moving. You had to hold the battery, to turn on the water. The tap for cold water was in the back of the sink, not easy to use it. Limescale on the sink. It looks dirty even if it is not. It could easily be removed with vinegar or other bathroom solutions. There was dust on the tiles, at the corners. If the shower head is changed and the shower cabin is cleaned more thoroughly, it will be ok. The chairs in the room had a thick layer of dust. The bed sheet had a small hole in it, most probably from a cigarette. It is not acceptable, even if the sheet was clean.

The location is great - in the heart of the city. The owner was ok. He/She sent check-in instructions by whatsapp, in a video. Everything was clear. The towels and the bed sheets were clean. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need.

I'd like to share a detailed account of our recent experience with a booking that unfortunately turned into a series of unexpected challenges. Upon arriving at the address provided by Booking, we patiently waited for the owner to check us in as per the instructions outlined in our booking confirmation. However, despite our efforts and multiple attempts to reach the owner via phone calls, we were met with complete silence. Faced with the dilemma of being stranded without accommodation, we contacted the owner via WhatsApp, who then provided us with a different location. Despite our reservations and concerns, we proceeded to the new location via taxi and conducted the check-in process on our own. Regrettably, the apartment at Strada Gării de Nord 6-8 fell short of our expectations in every aspect. From the absence of Wi-Fi to an antiquated bed that emitted noises, inadequate bedding cleanliness, a poorly maintained bathroom, lack of basic toiletries and storage, a dysfunctional air conditioning unit, and pervasive unpleasant odors, the overall experience was highly disappointing. Adding to the discomfort, the neighborhood's ambiance was unsettling, characterized by persistent disturbances and unsettling noises throughout the night. This experience has left us deeply dissatisfied and disheartened, as we had booked and paid for an entirely different apartment in a different location, only to end up in substandard conditions. We strongly urge Booking to take necessary measures to address this situation promptly and prevent other travelers from encountering similar challenges in the future.

I'm disappointed with my experience as we did not stay in the apartment we booked but were accommodated in another one far from the expected location. This unexpected change significantly affected our plans and overall satisfaction with the booking.

Bathroom is ruined. The door from bathing cabin was removed, so I should take bath in opened cabin. The toilet pipe has leakage somewhere, so bathroom floor was always wet + bad smell. Additionally, there was water falling from the bathroom ceiling, though this is not a flat owner's fault - the bathroom was flooded by neighbours from the top floor. And there was no wifi, though it was defined in booking description

The kitchen and bathroom taps could both do with being tightened down, they worked just fine though. Also, a mosquito net over the window would be good as they had a feast my first night there

A nice apartment that had everything I needed for a couple of days at a good price. It's in a good location for the Old Town. I enjoyed the lift too

I booked this apartment and I received the booking confirmation, no other sign or message from the owner. Around half of hour before arriving I wrote to the owner in order to tell him our arrival hour (I was with my 7 year's old son and our luggage). No answer via WhatsApp (I also speak Romanian, so I wrote him in Romanian), but the messages were read. Once arrived at the appartement, I called the owner, no answer again. He was just closing the phone when I was calling. I entered the building with the help of the neighbors, went upstairs at the appartement's door with my luggage and my son and we ring at the door, no answer again. I called again and again the owner, still no answer, the messages continued to be read but not answered. After one hour I just went and booked a hotel nearby. I am vert disappointed by this experience, it's definitely a SCAM and your money will be just stoled. Please avoid this establishment for your own good.

Nothing, the owner didn't showed up. I payed in advance online and It was a SCAM!

In my opinion it is phishing the people uploading pictures with the place clean and at the first contact the owner send you all the information for reach the place , and very polite. Then , when you see the apartment and want to contact again for explaining the problem......the owner is missing.

First, when you arrive the building inside is very old and dirty. When I opened the main door of the apartment I found a big ball o hairs in the floor, the place smells very bad. I checked the restroom, was very dirty and the pictures the owner upload to booking are not a mirror of the reality. I left the place in minutes and text the owner who read the messages I sent and no answer. Then I said "hi" agin to him and his answer was "hi" and noore replays for his side. No way to contact the owner, only using WhatsApp or the booking messenger but no answer. The place was dirty and not hygienic, the same the building.
