However, at check in we were greeted by a woman who didn’t even say “hello” and just came up to us in a rush saying “ room number”. We felt quite unwelcome. We arrived around 6pm and it says check in was up to 8pm so it’s not even like we were late. Anyway, this is just a side note as our overall experience was nice.

Not much. However, we ate in the restaurant for dinner and it was not so great. The fish was cooked really well, but the polenta, garlic sauce and rice with vegetables were pretty horrid to be honest. Quite disappointing.

Very clean ‘cabins’ with a super comfortable bed and a great heater, making the place cosy. The staff were amazing- really helpful, friendly and just lovely. Breakfast was great with lots of vegetables, eggs and sensational coffee! Great to have a kettle and fridge in the room!

There was no heater in the room when we arrived. The waitresses and the guy who seems like the custodian and the delivery guy at the same time were inclined to answer back to clients in an unapologetic way.

I liked the housekeeping staff. The cleaning lady with blue eyes and brown hair was very polite and helpful.

To be honest, we didn't exactly know what to expect from our stay here. We were looking for a bit of a camping experience. This place was much more luxurious than we expected! The cabin was clean and fresh and modern. The property was a joy to explore and learn about. The restaurant is delicious, and breakfast was varied and...luxurious! This was our homebase for exploring the Transfagarasan. And it was perfect. Eddie, the manager, took us on a tour of the property and the history of the pastravaria. We also loved all the sweet dogs roaming the land. If you stay here, make sure to check out the spa!

Towels could have been bigger and there could have been a shower cabinet, so you didn't have to scrape the floor after showering. Otherwise good!

They did not have curtains. It would have been a plus to have some curtains because once the blinders/shutters are up, they can see in.

The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable, the fact that it had air-conditioning it is a very big plus. During the night, it was silent, no noise from outside. The breakfast was good and as well it is nice that they have a restaurant that they serve fresh fish.

The food was delicious and the staff was super friendly. I enjoyed the fact that the spa was made with reservation and for that duration we had a jacuzzi, a sauna and a salt room all for ourselves. The rooms were very clean and the place is very peaceful and relaxing. Good place for family woth kids also.

Beautiful place, quiet and peaceful, perfect spot when you just want to relax. I love the food served at their restaurant - a lot of tasty fish dishes, and also the more than helpful and welcoming staff. We spent few days disconnected from everything else, listening to sounds of nature and enjoying our private cozy hut.

The bathroom needs a bit of improvement as it does not have a shower cabin, you just use the whole bathroom. It is understandable for a cottage. The restaurant could use a bit of improvement on the food, it's not bad at all but expected a bit more. However, all fish dishes are very nice.

Very nice property overall, extremely peaceful and quiet. Bonus points for finding it so warm in cold weather and having extra heat

The A bungalow we stayed in was excellent. Opposite the lake and close to the restaurant. It was very clean and well equipped for our stay. We went to the restaurant for dinner which was an excellent meal,with very attentive staff. The free breakfast was a great start to your day. We were lucky to be given a guided tour from the owner. The new block of apartments are lovely and we will be back the next time we visit Romania.
