- Access card was supposed to be picked-up from a different location but in the end there was a more convenient solution - Water pressure too low for a decent shower - No reception occupancy which complicates check-in and check-out - we managed somehow - no breakfast solution in the vicinity - bed mattress and sofa were not comfortable during sleep

The hotel didn't assist with the extra bed. We booked the room for three people. But we had only one double bed, and it was firm, we felt every spring in the mattress. The room wasn't spotless, we found some hair in different places. The view was to the trees of the mountains, with the private parking.

The location is in the center of Poiana Brasov, near the best restaurant.

The bed was a bit noisy. The Tv in one bedrooms was not working. Most annoying was that they don't serve breakfast. Also wheird that you need to Pick up the keycard in a different location, several kilometers away.

There was nothing to complain about.

We had been at Pensiunea Alex several times before and were always satisfied in every aspect. It is situated in a quiet street near the edge of a forest, and still very close to all the places of interest in Poiana Brasov. The staff is very friendly. The Sura Dacilor, an excellent restaurant, is in the immediate neughbourhood. We would like to come back at any time.

On the first day we were upgraded to a suite room because in the room we were supposed to stay - the shower didn't work. The suite is very bad because it had angled walls, the shower had very low water pressure and barely warn and we asked to be returned back to the original room. Don't buy a suite. In our room the toilet was leaking and was making huge noise all day and night. We didn't bother asking because we didn't want to move again. Nearby there is the sura dacilor restaurant but the staff is very not friendly when busy. You are not allowed to sit at a free table but wait for the manager to sit you. But the manager is never around

The room was rather expensive for what it offered. We had to check in and get the room in a different town. The front door would not close. I’m not saying it wouldn’t lock, but it would stay semi open. We called reception several times to get it fixed. The heat would not work. Since this is a mountain area, it gets cold at night. While we were there, the temperature outside was below 9 degrees Celsius. The guard in the building told us there is nothing to be done until morning. Although we reported it in the evening, no one showed up/ checked in with us in the morning. There was no water in the room and no place to get coffee around (at least until noon).

The only two positive things: 1. it had hot running water 2. It is close to Nuba Chalet

If you like sleeping you're probably better off going someplace else. Bad mattresses, the front door wouldn't stay closed properly, very poor noise isolation and worst of all, despite the advertised quiet hours and 24/7 reception they do absolutely nothing to enforce it. I was kept awake until 5 am by yelling guests and the staff only did something about it 3 hours in and only after I pushed them to do it.

Imposible to have a cofee in the morning,need to go to a bar for that,the matress is old and not confortable,too much noise because of the kids,wake up at 6h30 in the morning one day,the music at the restaurant too loud and to late. I was expecting to more services for 537 euros,at least a breakfast,the shower is not working well,is too hot in the room at night.There is no real curtain,you have some sort of office curtain so is not stoping the light in the morning. The fridge is making a lot of noise. If you add 150 euros to the 537 euros you can go to real nice hotel,expecting to be no kids and you have a bar and a breakfast.

The restaurant is great,a lot of choises and good food,the private parking is good also,the size of the room is ok.

I don't usually give low ranking to hotels on booking, especially not to small ones which sometimes make the only income for a family. But with that place everything was wrong. It started when they informed me, after I made a nonrefundable reservation, that they "asking" me to go to another Hotel to pick up the key, which made my way longer. When we arrived we found out that even though I ordered for 3 people, there was only one bed with sheets. After I requested, they brought me a blanket and cushions, but forgot the sheets. I slept on the sofa without sheets. We had to wait about 10-15 minutes for warm water in the shower (each time), and even after waiting the water was lukewarm and the current was very very weak. And I'm not talking about the bees that we're all over the room because we opened the windows to vent the place
