Beautiful location in the middle of nature, close to Sarmizegetusa Regia (~1h by car) and other historical sites. The stuff is very friendly, the food is tasty with home made ingredients from local vegetables, locally made drinks as well. We were lucky to have a campfire after dinner accompanied by folk and rock live music with acoustic guitars. I was also impressed about the library and about the Dacia Foundation they run to promote Dacian historical and cultural heritage.

I wouldnt change a thing.

Its a beautiful place that has everything that you need. Visited this place 2 times and I will gladly come back in the future. Hosts are great, the food is good, animals are super friendly.

The only complaint I can find is that from the room we got, you could hear all the movements from the upstairs neighbors.

Excellent staff, very good food and nice and clean room. The animals they are taking care off(sheep, donkeys, as well as a lot of cats) are a great attraction for kids.

We loved everything! The beautiful location, lost in the nature and close to amazing sites. The super friendly staff, always here to help and give advice on the region. The delicious food, especially made for us vegeterians. And the kids loved the trampoline, the small pool, and all the animals around (friendly cats and dogs, donkeys, sheep, cows...) if we ever return to Romania we'll definitely come back here!

We weren't too keen on the meat-based dinner and the breakfast coffee.

The location is very beautiful and secluded. The soup was tasty. In the courtyard there are very cute and friendly animals like donkeys and sheep. The staff is helpful and welcoming.

This is a wonderful rural resort operated by a foundation that publishes books and promotes the history of the Dacians, a pre-Roman tribe not widely known outside of the area. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and at least one speaks English. I stayed in a simple one-room cabin (USD17 one person, mid-April). There are very nice indoor and outdoor common areas on the spacious grounds, including a large library -- great if you read Romanian. Well-cooked meals are available at reasonable prices and there is an outdoor kitchen for guest use if you want to do your own cooking. Getting to Dacica without a car would be very time consuming. Right across the road is a steep trail up to an ancient Dacican stronghold dating back 2,000 years.

The breakfast, lunch and dinner were very delicious, the room was very clean, the staff very nice and helpful. The view from the guesthouse was very beautiful and we discovered many tourist attractions nearby (to be visited both on foot and by car) We enjoyed the animals and all the facilities for entertaining. It is with great regret that we must report that the second night did not go smoothly at all. There was very loud talking and drinking until 3:30 am. Before that we had no sleep and no rest. The owners had to prevent this. And at 7 o'clock the rest of the very noisy team of Czech men with motorcycles arrived. Knocked on doors, were already drunk and peed against trees. The many bottles of beer and vodka they carried will certainly not have helped during the day. We understand that you cannot predict something like this via Booking, but again there could have been intervention. So we left in a hurry because we found it very unpleasant. This is the reason why we can't give a higher score. A pity.

We went for the quiet and we got it the first night and the next day. We had a nice dinner. No choice but local at a very correct price. Very friendly people. Thank you for the yummy honey. We stayed in a bungalow and were surrounded by animals, dogs, cats, sheep, chickens and donkeys, which did not bother us. The 2 showers and 3 toilets were more than fine. Very modern, clean and heated. We made a beautiful but very intense walk to Piatra Rosie which Norman detailed end explained with a lot of passion. Beautiful domain in the middle of nowhere. The road to it is quite bumpy, but if you drive calmly, this is not a problem at all.

The road up to the cottage is gravel for some 4-5km but it is expected to be considering the location of the place. Not an issue but just be prepared for a little offroad driving until there. Check the weather and have in mind winter conditions and snow, as this is deep into the mountains,

Really great accommodation deep into the mountains. Located in the valley among the idyllic forest that surrounds this place. Super quiet place to be. Great staff, the possibility for dinner, drinks, and breakfast even if you are deep into the forest. The rooms are great and it is all in a wooden cottage-like place. So really nice place to be to relax enjoin nature away from the crowd of the big towns. Early mornings are especially nice having mist from the mountings overlapping the area and sun rays getting through it. Live even more idyllic than you can see from the photos.

It’s an absolute idyllic place, in the middle of nowhere. The food they cook was the best we had on our entire holiday. The staff is incredibly friendly and caring. it’s the perfect place for history and nature geeks. There’s a lot of historical sites near(ish) by (for most is a car necessary) and we got a presentation by Norman about the Dacian settlement in the region. There’s also an entire library about the Dacian and other historical periods free to use. If you want to just rest from exploring it’s the perfect place as well. Lovely cats, dogs and donkeys that join you, or you just read in a hammock on the field enjoying the view of the dreamy valley.

The access road is full of potholes. But it is a problem that must be solved by the authorities.

Comfortable and very clean room. Breakfast is rich in traditional eco products. Nice and large terrace and courtyard. I particularly appreciated the library. They cook daily and the food is very tasty.

Located in the middle of nature, this location is perfect if you need to relax and disconnect from daily activities. Really nice and clean rooms. Location is perfect for easy hiking routes. Cats, dogs an donkeys can be enjoyed in the large courtyard:) Would visit again.

The common areas could use more cleaning. There is a lot of noise from the other rooms. We could here entire conversations.

The service is impeccable, they take good care of the guests & provide anything you might need. The location is gorgeous especially in the fall. It's nice they have a common space where you can hang out.

Bit hard to get to but worth it!
