Safrano Palace is perfectly situated right on the main square in the town and is well named. The room was beautifully clean, quiet and very comfortable. The breakfast boasted an array of food stuffs fit for a count … or a boyard! But best of all Ionuț and Camillia were so helpful. Ionuț filled us in on the gaps in our historical knowledge (woeful and considerable as we do not study much at home about Central and Eastern Europe unfortunately - something which as part of the EU we really should address). I can only say that you will have a wonderful stay in this beautiful old Saxon town - and thee are still some 900 people of Saxon descent living here).

I had a room on the ground floor in the courtyard. Unfortunately the staff room was right opposite me and they were talking loudly from 7am every day.

Location is perfect, right on the main square. Rooms are huge with nice beds and bathroom. Spotlessly clean.

There was no mirror in our room apart from the one in the bathroom.

In the most fantastic location right on the main square. You couldn't pick a better located hotel. Our room was spacious and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower in the bathroom was good. Our room, a junior suite was up a set of stairs and was quiet apart from the occasional dog barking. Breakfast was decent apart from the choice of tea bags. If you like a proper cup of tea, make sure you bring your own tea bags with you because they only seem to have fruit tea or Earl Grey. It's a decent hotel in an ideal location and I would happily stay there again if I returned to Brasov.

Right in the heart of the old town close to numerous bars and restaurants. Breakfast was exceptional with a range of foods to cater to all tastes. Parking was arranged nearby which was not ideal but still greatly appreciated.

Staff was very helpful and breakfast had a lot of choices. Excellent location an close to a main bus stop (4' on foot). The room was big, warm and comfortable.

These have been the softest pillows that we have ever had. Parking is not very close. If you don't want to travel on foot too much with baggage's then this not the hotel for you. The car park is at more than 600m away (about 10 min walking), you have to book it and you pay for it.

Good breakfast, the room is small but it very cosy. The hotel is nicely located within 2 min walking of Piata Sfatului but the room didn't have a view of it or The Black Church. The hotel is quiet and the rooms are traditionally decorated.

Check in not available till after 3 pm. We were tired as we flew in from Melbourne that same morning..Then took the train to the city and then another train to Braşov. We wanted to go to the room and dump our bags and rest. Receptionist was helpful though, she told us to leave our luggage till our room was ready.

1. Needs clear instructions regarding parking that it is very difficult to see where to stop. I recommend that the hotel puts clear messages that you should stop and drop off outside the hotel in the street using your hazard lights. 2. The hotel needs to turn OFF the outside lights late at night or get dark curtains in the rooms. Far too much light coming into the room made for a difficult nights sleep.

I have booked a superior room, and have no clue if I had it, as the room was not very spacious (on the contrary of the bathroom), so there was little place even fr the suitcase. But if you want, you can always keep it in the bathroom ;-)

The hotel is situated in the very heart of Brasov, at the main square of the Old City, however the rooms are in the backyards, so it is quiet. The room was very, very clean, with very spacious bathroom. The breakfast was good - something hot and cold and sweets. And very good coffee. The staff was very sympathetic and helpful. The overall experience was great.
