We believed there would be tea & coffee making facilities in the room. Not so. We bought coffees from the bar but they were luke warm and gross. The breakfast coffee was in our opinion awful. We were also told on arrival, which was quite late in the evening, that the restaurant was closed for renovation, forcing us to go hunting for somewhere to eat when we just wanted to stay in and get our bearings in the morning.

We prefer hotels with character, as opposed to the standard unmemorable fare more commonly offered. This hotel fitted the bill nicely. The room was 10m by 4m with a balcony straight out of Romeo & Juliet, large double bed and beautiful real wood inlaid floor. Breakfast was pretty good with hot fried eggs, scrambled eggs, min sausages, range of cereals, mini croissants. Location perfect. Turn right out of the hotel, cross the main road and you're in the heart of the quality restaurant area, from there you can wander down to the old town.

We had some issues with water leaking on to the bathroom floor from the bath, but nothing that isn’t fixable.

We loved the individual feel of the property, the staff were very friendly, engaged and helpful. Our room was spacious and pleasant, and had nice individual touches which made the stay special.

Street entrance requires ringing the reception, and you do not know if someone actually acknowledged - had to wait one night 10 minutes before the gate opened. That gate should be opened with the room key. Minimal staff - one person at the reception, not always present, and none in the breakfast area.

Beautiful old wooden interior of hotel. Clean and large room with large bathroom. We opted in for breakfast which was beautiful, lovely fresh buffet with lots of choices. Close to city centre we walked to main attractions and tourist areas. Welcoming and friendly staff!

This hotel may not be large, but it has a lot of character, and has the cosiest, and smallest "bar" I've ever seen!

there was no kettle in the room (even though there was a kitchen) so you could not have coffee in the morning before you start your day. there was a kitchen but no utensils. no elevator - not accessible

A minor drawback was having to request the reception to open the front gate each time we left the hotel. A more efficient system could be implemented for this matter.

Amazing property with an old rustic touch to it. Loved the huge bathroom/Toilet as well. Highly recommend this property.

Our specific room (number 1) was right next to the front entrance/lobby bathroom and so subject to noise from the main lobby. It was not that well soundproofed from the main lobby/lobby bathroom.

Staff were friendly and helped with requests. Bed was very comfy.

I don't have any complaints about the stay. One improvement the hotel could work on is the common spaces being more available to guests. I think the bar / sitting room is occupied by staff. They could also revisit the hotel book with area amenities and recommendations.

It was a nice room and I felt like I had privacy. I slept well and was comfortable. The bathroom was nice and also very clean. It was walking distance to many things including the grocery store, restaurants, and coffee. It was a good home base in the city.
