Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

DenmarkWe enjoyed everything!
We loved Taschler House. The hosts are very professional and really made us feel welcome. The location of the house is perfect for a visit in Sighishoara and the hosts helped us with free parking tickets. The rooms were beautiful, comfortable and we loved the complementary local drinks. We were ten people traveling together and we all loved the stay.

United StatesSmall shower.
Wonderful facility with caring owner located a few minutes walk from the clock tower with a great view in the back courtyard. Can't beat the location for convenience. Though owner says they only serve a little breakfast, his pastries, yoghurt, fruit and coffee were more than we received at most pensions. Room has minibar and kettle with welcoming brandy also. Parking is easy with decals you are given, but it is at the foot of two flights of stairs on the streets below.

United KingdomNothing, it was lovely.
We loved staying at the Taschler Haus, Jan and Silvia were great hosts, very helpful and informative about Sighisoara. Taschler Haus is beautiful, and definitely recommend staying if you are wanting an authentic, traditional room and hotel, we loved it. The view from our room was amazing on both sides, the room was very spacious and the bed very comfortable. There were also lots of toiletries and plum wine as well as water in the fridge which were all very appreciated. The breakfast in the morning was lovely with fresh pastries aswell as cereal and fruit. It is in the perfect location for the old town, near the Bell Tower, the square and lots of bars and restaurants. We would definitely recommend staying there.

RomaniaWe chose Taschler House based on its ratings, so we had high expectations. But reality was above expectations. The place is very cosy and clean, people are very kind and welcoming (we had the feeling that we visited our relatives) and we were surprised by the hosts with the breakfast, even though they didn't mention it. We will definetly come back.

ItalyNothing to mention.
Charming apartment in the heart of the medieval town of Sigisoara (Schäßburg). We had a bedroom and a sitting area with a couch and an extra bed for our daughter. Lovely decorated with nice oil painted pictures and romanian textiles. The bedroom window looks on the main tower, beautiful view. The house is many hundred years old. We got offered complementary breakfast. Restaurants and cafes are right at the hotel door. Thank you Silvia and Jan!

United StatesThe Best place to stay in Sighisoara Romania
Unique retreat in the middle of a century's old city. The feeling that you are living like one of the residents of this still inhabited citadel. From the moment the security gate opens you find yourself in a quiet beautiful compound with the landmark hovering over a common garden patio. An authentically furnished basement provides Croissants, fruits, yogurt and coffee any time of day! The delightful owners even give you water bottles to ensure hydration for your exploration of the steep winding slopes of the Citadel.

SpainWe had the last room in the second floor and we brought big luggage with us. It was a bit uncomfortable to bring them up through the narrow stairs. We should ask for a room in the first floor next time.
It is a beautiful place, within the heart of Sighisoara. If you want to spend some days in the town or in the area this is a perfect choice. Silvia and Jan are super nice and very kind. They even offered us a coffee corner with some fruit, yogurts and croissants for free! If we come again to visit Romania, we will repeat for sure!

What a wonderful place ! The place is charming and special with a beautiful view. The rooms were cozy and with a special atmosphere The owners of the place were kind and lovely and did everything for us to have a pleasant stay including a reserved parking space in an area where it is very difficult to find a parking space. They helped us also with maps and organizing the trip around the area. I will definitely come back to this place next time

United KingdomEverything was more than we expected. Traveled to many places in this world, but I couldn't be happier than I've been in this place. I wish we could stay for longer, but maybe there will be a next time. ***Thank you for everything ***
I have never wanted so badly to leave a review but the beauty of this place and the amazing management just left me simply blown away! This place is more than a simple hotel accommodation, this place is a whole experience. The hospitality is out of this world, the design, the wall painting and attention to details is amazing. You can choose a run of the mill 5* hotel and experience the standard hotel hospitality, but if you want to live the place in its true spirit enriched with its history, this place is the place to be. And when you will think the accommodation it's just enough you will be surprised to discover the underground location for breakfast 🥰 *The stairs to the main attractions are opposite the main entrance. *The host will give you an amazing map with all the main attractions. *You have complementary coffee, Romanian drinks, kettle in your room, toiletries, waffle slippers, water and so on. *You need to try it, you will have no regrets.

At check-in, we were given a lovely welcoming gift, consists of cakes, sweets and home made alcoholic drinks. The vibe of the place and the art all over the place was amazing, like you were in a museum. They provided a complimentary light breakfast, with freshly baked croissant.
