Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RomaniaThe room is very clean, airy, it is actually an apartment of over 60-70 square meters, and the entire guesthouse is very well-maintained and clean. The hosts, Silvia and Jan, are extremely kind, very educated and civilized, always ready to help. At breakfast coffee, yogurt and croissants. The room is at the level of 4 stars for the highest demands, there is history in everything that surrounds you. The location, what can I say, is absolutely fabulous with a direct view of the Sighisoara Tower. You are practically in the middle of everything that matters. Free parking.

AustraliaParking was a little difficult.
This was a splendid choice. The suite was so spacious, beautifully furnished, very clean and had a lovely view. It was wonderful to be in the historic centre. The cherry brandy for a welcome drink was sweet but delicious. The included breakfast of yoghurt, croissant, tea/coffee and fruit was very welcome.

Wonderful hosts: friendly and welcoming! The rooms are beautifully appointed, with period furniture and very comfortable beds. It is perfectly located right near the clock tower. We even had parking available. And the delicious breakfast was an added bonus.

RomaniaCharming rooms, where they tried to bring today's confort in a setting from the 16th century. Each room has a story. The little amenities in the room and the on site breakfast with croissants were a nice touch.

Romanianot applicable, we had a great stay
The room was beautiful; we had a terrace right outside our room that had everything you may want for leisure (books, magazines, blankets and heater for chill nights); the owner was very attentive to our needs and it was obvious to me that the he considered every detail for the enjoyment of their tourists. As a bonus, they had a coffee corner in the morning, with good coffee, fruits, croissants and other breakfast items and it was free of charge

United KingdomNothing, all was perfect
This is a unique experience overall, as Taschler Hous brings you back centuries, while not compromising on modern day luxuries. Location is perfect, with views of the citadel from the room and only a short walk to all the historical sites. The room was spacious, super clean, and with a unique style. Great hospitality from the hosts, offering breakfast, water and coffee in the morning, and very quick in all communication.

AustraliaI could easily have stayed here MUCH longer, pretending I was a grand king!
Simply put, if you want to feel like a King, stay here. It was the only place we stayed (six week tour, 22 properties) that offered more than just a room - we had a huge bedroom, a sitting room and an enormous bathroom, as well as a large entry room that was perfect for coats, and all those things that generally clutter up a hotel room. Furniture throughout was high quality antiques. The beds were supremely comfortable. There is no parking directly in front of the property, but we had no difficulty finding a cost-free parking spot about a one minute walk from the entrance. We found the property a bit difficult to find without a GPS, but ask anyone where the citadel clock tower is and you'll find Taschler Haus directly beneath it. Although breakfast was not included in the tariff, tea, coffee and simple foods were nevertheless supplied for hungry tummies in the morning. That was unexpected, and certainly appreciated!

GermanyThe Taschler Haus is a unique accommodation option in the heart of Sighisoara. It is an old medieval house, beautifully maintained, with painted walls representing the different professions and a wonderful cellar, where a complimentary breakfast is served. The owners are so friendly and welcoming! They speak very good German, help you with the parking and are excellent hosts. If you like traditional houses and you want to learn from the area, this is a very nice place to stay. We've stayed mid of November with chilly weather. The room was very warm and very clean. I fully recommend this place, as it is unique and the hosts make you feel like at home! Sighisoara is a beautiful town, with nice corners and cafés, also very central to visit Viscri and Birtham.

United StatesNothing, loved it! We got there daytime, but I can imagine parking in the public area just outside of the pedestrian center would be tough if it was nigh-time. Give the owners a accurate arrival time and they meet you there and walk you to the front entrance. If you have issues with small sets of stairs, ask for something in lower levels, not a lot of them, but it’s a multi-level.
Unique & historical building in the pedestrian old town area (50 meter walk) of the lovely small city of Sighisoara. Rooms are modern, but with a lot of old antique furnishing in this old historical three level house. Owners are very helpful and communicative. Breakfast was provided on request in the characterful basement.

Taschler house is a gem in Sighisoara. The room is large and nicely appointed. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom facilities are good. Parking is 3 minutes from the house ( for residents only) so Jan will meet you at the park to facilitate payment. Although very close, it's all upward steps with luggage. There's a welcome drink in the room and although breakfast is not advertised, they provide coffee, tea, yogurt, fruit and croissants in the morning. It's very close to the major attractions of this Old town.
