Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RomaniaA huge cat sleeping on the bar, next to serving glasses for customers, was far from my image about hygiene in a restaurant.
The bed was very comfortable, the room quiet and the breakfast.

IsraelSince the hotel is in the old city, on the weekend there was loud music most of the night and it can be disturbing. The place can be not suitable for some people - the stairs are very steep. The bath is also high, I'm 1.65 and it was very hard for me to get into the bath or go out. The bed is little low so it's not comfortable.
The hotel is beautiful. The staff was nice and helpful. The room was big and convenient. Close to many resteraunts and 15 minutes walking from the parliament palace and the park. Close to public transportation.

United Kingdomnoisy neighbourhood. the noisy night clubs were only around the corner from the hotel playing music until 6am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning. I am not sure if this is legal. The police were near by but didn’t seem to do anything about it. The street at the back of the hotel was lined with night clubs with some putting their woofer bass speakers on the road and playing their music all night! the double glazing of the hotel kept most of it out but literally there was a thudding sound in the room all night until 6am. I initially thought it was a faulty air conditioning unit. we were in the Gothic Room but I can’t imagine any other room would be better. the hotel owners in the area really must campaign to force the club owners to turn down the volume after a certain time and move the speakers indoors.
Location, room size, helpful staff, comfortable large bed, breakfast.

United KingdomI did not like that I had to leave aftrr my 5 night stay.
The friendliness of the staff & their willingness to go the extra mile was fabulous. The hotel is a boutique establishment so there is no lift to the 2x upper floors of guest rooms. But that does not matter. The exercise is good for yoy.

GreeceThe lack of elevator makes it a little uncomfortable, especially if you carry luggages. We were surprised to see that items that were consumed at breakfast were not renewed. The hotel's restaurant is nothing special and it was the only place in Bucharest that we were obliged to give a 10% tip. Last but not least, there is a lovely cat that officially stays at the hotel and hangs out at the restaurant, sitting at the seats etc. We didn't mind but I am not sure how hygienic that is, about the food and people with allergies etc.
The hotel is beautiful and smells amazing. The location is superb. The rooms are very stylishly decorated. The breakfast, although has limited variety, was very tasty. The hotel's staff were always happy to help.

United KingdomJust the 1 grumpy waiter as above.
Member of reception staff met us at roadside where taxi dropped us, and accompanied us on the short walk to hotel. We were given complimentary prosecco on arrival and both rooms upgraded. Food was excellent and good value for money. With the exception of one miserable waiter, all the other staff were brilliant. I've given 5 stars for staff as they shouldn't be penalised because of 1 horrible man. Weather was rainy on our 1st day and hotel gave us umbrellas to use. We were accompanied back to taxi for our return trip. Would definitely recommend despite the 1 rotten apple 😁

GreeceThe location is not accessible by car as it is on a pedestrian road. The closest road is 1 min walk, but you cannot get an uber there, since there are 4 predefined pickup/drop off locations around the old town. So 5 min walk from the hotel. Of course this is not the hotel's fault. We had to drag our suitcases on the cobblestone in the cold. There is no elevator, but we received help with our luggage. Many clubs and bars nearby that play music with doors open until 4am on weekdays. No quality food/ drink options in the old town. Breakfast was mediocre for the price. Buffet had limited options and was not replenished fast enough. Eggs to order were very good though. Each room has different decor. We were kindly upgraded to the Gothic room. TV was too small, and bathtub was not convenient for showers, was too high to get in and did not have a mounting point for the shower head, so not easy to take a shower. A case of form over function. Mattress was OK, but duvet was small for the bed size. We slept in late one day until 12:00 and then the room was not cleaned. Only one roll of toilet paper available at a time in the room. Had to go to the reception to get one. No room service.
The staff, the room decoration and size. The blackout curtains. The eggs Benedict. Focused for young couples.

IsraelThe main problem is for the disabled/elderly 1- the hotel is at the old town, so the taxi can't reach all the way to the door step, most services will stop at Selari street . Pavement are really bad in Bucharest so even with a walking aid it is challenging (200M) 2- No lifts are available, all rooms are at 1st and 2nd floor which mean you will be required to use steps to get to your room
Arrived at 1Am , rand the bell and receptionist was immediately there to welcome us. The hotel is very nicely decorated with theme for every room. Both room were spacious, have to state TV in the rooms are very small. Rooms were cleaned daily and every request answered quickly
