Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI knew there would be noise as the hotel is in a busy area but the bass noise from the nearby clubs went on until the early hours and also the restaurant staff were quite noisy when going to and from the kitchen which I think was at the rear of the hotel.
It was nice to be welcomed with a glass of Prosecco and also to be told that our rooms had been upgraded to Premium Mansion Deluxe. I had the Nautic room which was large and very comfortable.

Ukraine- Cigarette smoke all over hotel coming from terrace of the attached restaurant. When the restaurant downstairs is operationg cigarette smoke from terrace is coming to all coridors and floors ain hotel and of course inside the rooms. Our room on Friday night was full of cigarette smoke, I was not able to sleep as I have allergy for it. It was the biggest disappointment during our stay - No elevator
I liked everything except for mentioned in the below section-What didn't like? The room, decoration of the room and the lobby, cleanliness, staff and breakfast- all was good. Pefect location in the city center. Breakfast was very tasty, they even have fresh orange juice, and make good espresso based drinks for you upon request. Very kind and helpful staff

United KingdomWe did hear some noise from a nearby club late into the night on one occasion, and this could be a problem in the warmer weather if you want to open a window, however the the air con was excellent so not necessarily an issue. We would have preferred a firmer bed and pillows.
We stayed in the Eclectic room which was at the front of the hotel on the 2nd floor. It was spacious and well equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, mini bar, robes and slippers. It was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was spacious with lovely fluffy towels, toiletries and a walk in shower with great water pressure. Very friendly and helpful staff on reception who provided us with a glass of Prosecco at check in. Great restaurant attached the hotel which served an excellent breakfast with great choice and eggs to order. Really good coffee.

United KingdomNothing it was fantastic! One thing to note is there is no lift. When we checked out we were struggling with our cases down the winding stairs and unfortunately there were no staff available to help. Apart from that, perfect!!
The location was fantastic, right in the centre of the old town. Also love the decor and styling of the hotel. Also the little touches like a note In our room and a glass of Prosecco on arrival.

United KingdomMy only comment would be on the shower. With it being a free-standing style bath the shower was hand held only.
Beautiful, clean, quirky. Lovely room upgrade and nice glass of fizz on arrival. Staff friendly and helpful. Good choice for breakfast.

FranceThe bathroom shower in the bath was not easy for us.
Every room are customised with a theme. We were in "Zen" room and there were a tibetan decoration. The breakfast was good and we had a packed bag when we leave early for a tour and could not have breakfast in the precints.

ItalyThe street in front of the hotel is noisy during the night due to people shouting and laughing even until very late (early morning). The windows are not 100% noise-proof: some noise still comes into the room. So I suggest that you ask for a room on the backside if you are sensible to the noise. For us, it was not a big problem becuase we could sleep anyway. Also, we had an inconvenience the first night, because the room was very cold and the bathroom even more cold. The next morning we complained at the reception desk and the staff solved the problem: the rest of our stay was very confortable.
The position of the hotel is fantastic: in the very heart of Bucharest! In the pedestrian zone. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby, public trasnsport avaiable at very short distance, many monuments reacheable on foot in few minutes walk. On top of that, the hotel is nicely decorated and very clean, our room was huge with a very large bed. The bathroom was also very large and confortable and with brand new installations. The breakfast is served in a nice dining room and it is acceptably varied (though maybe one can expect a little more in a 4-stars hotel). The price/quality ratio is reasonable considering the position in the heart of a capital city.

United KingdomEven though it was a great location, there were a few noisy restaurants outside. Only one bottle of water was supplied in the room, even though it was for two people. Both very minor inconveniences for what we got.
The staff were lovely and very accommodating. We stayed in the french room and it had a balcony which was great, and very on theme. Great location in Old Town, close to loads of places to eat and tourist attractions.

United KingdomThe hotel is right next door to a bar which on the Saturday night had thumping music on until roughly 6am. We were given earplugs from reception which helped a little. This is not the hotels fault, however I think it should be brought to your attention when booking. Be aware that there is no lift in the hotel as its an old building so you have to walk up a spiral staircase. This was fine for us but may not suit all.
The hotel itself is stunning. Individually themed rooms which all have names instead of room numbers. A nice touch. We stayed in the industrial room, which was on the 2nd floor. Food for dinner was really good and great quality. We only had breakfast one morning, which was of a continental style and was tasty.
