How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Beautiful, spacious, well furnished apartment with fantastic views over Brasov city centre. Super clean, with good supply of towels & toiletries, comfortable beds & good WiFi. Check in at Kasa Kranta Hotel next door was friendly & efficient. Excellent value for money.

I only wish breakfast had more options, but still enough to get the day started.
The host, the apartment and the location are wonderful! It’s Uber chic and comfortable and perfect base to explore the city and surrounding area. They provide all you could need in the apartment and more.

Breakfast could be better, but it really has all you need to start your day.
The apartment is amazing! We could live here 😉. They provided a crib for our baby, which was helpful. Host is very nice and friendly. Location is a very short walk to the historic center. They also offer parking, though a tight squeeze if you’re not used to parking 🙈. Plus, the washer/dryer combo were a bonus! We actually extended our stay as it was so comfortable.

On the hill, 7 minutes up-walk from oldtown, but for us it also felt great to move a little after the dinner. We loved the place!

The appartment was perfect , so clean and had everything we needed The hotel staff were so lovely and helpful It's a 10 min walk into the city centre and Lidl is a 5 min walk Breakfast had everything you needed and was fresh , they make boiled eggs and omelette to order Boiked Eggs were perfect There us a patio outside which had views of the city and was very peaceful and clean

Everything was great -- small thought is to add a box of tissues in bathroom or apartment as they had every type of vanity product, but that ;)
Wonderful apartment with fab views over Brasov. Sandu met us and his English and friendly smile were great! He gave us some ideas for dinner and the Black Cauldron did NOT disappoint - best food on whole Romanian trip. Comfy beds and nice bath. Reserved parking spaces so you don't have to worry about that.

We loved everything, so I am adding some information about the city. Just a short walk from the apartment you can see the pedestrianised city centre, which is well worth a visit. Cafés, bars, cultural sights, restored buildings: the town is lovely. We enjoyed our stay. Next time we are in the area, we will book this place again.
The hosts waited for us with the keys and were extremely kind although we arrived late due to traffic problems. We could park our car on the space in front of the house, in an open yard away from the street. The apartment is stunning, very beautiful, the beds comfy and we enjoyed the balcony with a view of the old town and surroundings of the city. The fridge was stacked with a few drinks which we enjoyed. We did not use the kitchen and cannot say whether it is well equipped, but it looked good. The flat was extremely clean. The breakfast in the building next-door was very nice, and we were offered gluten free products (which we asked for before arrival). All in all a very good experience.

Top View Apartment was a great place to stay in downtown Brasov. It is a beautifully decorated spacious apartment that has all the necessary facilitates including a full equipped kitchen and washing machine/tumble-dryer combo. Parking was easy on the street on most days. Breakfast was served very close by and was very good. The staff were always very helpful. Large supermarket very close buy. Very recommended.

Just a recommendation- to add several kitchen items, as bigger fried pan, etc.
Everything was perfect. The apartment is super comfortable, location is great. Staff is very friendly, many thanks they created such a cozy atmosphere :)

Everything! The apartment is big, clean, well facilitated, great breakfast and most importantly- best staff ever! We landed here after a bad experience and we couldn't be more satisfied. Comfortable bads, quality towels and great breakfast. 2 minutes by car to the center and free parking.
