We really recommend the hotel. We had spacious, clean, cosy rooms. It is situated right in the heart of the town, but very calm and silent and a 15 minutes walk from the station, where the international trains arrive (we recommend travelling there by train). The breakfast was very good. And the price very very agreeable. The friendly man at the reception was the first one we met during our journey, who spoke fluent English, so you could ask him everything. The check in is possible earlier than usual in hotels (at 2 pm) and we could leave our luggage there for the whole day until the night train to Vienna left. We slept very well there, maybe because of godd mattresses or whyever. So altogether, this is a very good choice, if you want to visit Medias.

Breakfast could have been better but is optional and there is a great breakfast place on the next corner of the square

We had intended to stay for one night but almost immediately asked to stay another. Medias is perhaps slightly overlooked compared to it's more tourist centric neighbours Sibiu and Sighashora but is definately worth a stopover. It has a lovely shady and peaceful square right in the middle of the old town and hotel Traube is on one of the corners, You get the feeling that as a tourist you are in the minority and most of the people around are local or local visitors. The hotel is in the perfect location for walking out the front door right into the old town but quiet and peaceful. Plenty of good bars and restaurants within a 5-10 min walking radius. I don't know about any of the other rooms but ask for room no15 as i suspect this is the best. If it's not you are in for a very pleasant surprise.

Did not like that at breakfast one should choose one item (omelette, english breakfast, cheese plate, etc) from a list and any other item should be paid extra. Never seen such type of breakfast. But it was very good!

It is a really nice hotel in the middle of the city. You could reach easly everything in few minutes. The personal was really nice and helpfull. The room was kind of old fashioned but in a really nice way. I cant say anything bad! A really nice stay here. Everytime again!

The window curtains are white and, coupled with the big windows, it's impossible to nap in the morning, if you are a light sleeper. Also i wouldn't mind having better pillows.

The location is excellent, the room was clean and spacious, and the staff is super friendly and helpful.
