Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Luxembourg- Bathroom is outdated, smells like fungus - Tiles in the shower pose danger for cutting so you need to be extremely careful - No cleaning in the room during our stay - Staff is not proactive in sharing information about the area, activities, facilities of the retreat or other aspects - Missing mini-fridge and safety box in the room - Breakfast could include fresh baked bread and not 1-2 days old bread, as well as some specific Romanian food and sweets ( not gaufres as those are Belgium treats); - Missing basic thinks at breakfast, like oil or salt&peper unless you ask for it. - If you are not willing or afraid to eat breakfast on the terrace with stray dogs and cats I recommend not to come to this retreat -Wifi quite poor and does not work most of the time, TV in the room either as you need to get help from the staff to fix it. - Menu for dinner was quite fancy, not matching the location and traditions of the area and extremely expensive for what it offered.
- The nature is amazing and there is a rustic feeling around the location where we stayed; - We needed help from staff’s retreat for a flat tyre and they helped us even if it was a Friday at 5pm. We are extremely greatful for that. Recommendation to avoid the stone road between Cind and Dumbraveni and do the longer road even if 20 km longer.

Romania- the accommodation is slightly overpriced and several aspects could use improvement: faucets were old and degraded; the lights on the terrace didn’t work; plates were clean (washed) but had lots of stains; the refrigerator should be retired; some doors didn’t work properly; missing hangers; no insect nets. - the entrance door is made out of glass, so the other guests could see right into our kitchen (no curtains or anything). We could see in their room as well. I find this a bit odd. - the facilities presented on Booking & their website are misleading. For example, they mention a natural swimming pool, therefore I expected a pool in which we could swim. No such thing, it’s more of a pond, which is very dirty and you wouldn’t want to go in there. - we had a big, beautiful garden; however, it only had a table and a couple of chairs, that’s it. I feel like there’s room for improvement there. We asked for a grill (BBQ was also mentioned as a facility), but they couldn’t provide it the same day (it wasn’t mentioned that you need to request it in advance). - the shower was, unfortunately, a nightmare. Water came in 2 waves: the right temperature but no pressure at all, and then suddenly some pressure for a couple of seconds, but burning hot. Literally impossible to take a decent shower.
- the concept is very nice; cute, traditional houses scattered around the village - the location is extremely peaceful and quiet, great place to disconnect and relax - the restaurant & the outdoor garden are beautiful, spacious - delicious vegetables from their own garden - staff was friendly - the house we stayed in was very big, with its own garden and terrace

RomaniaThe TV in our room did not have connection to the cable network and even though we notified this and we were informed that the next they will fix it, it didn’t happen until the end of our stay. Also, the electricity system has a problem in Yard 4, the intensity of the light is fluctuating all the time.

United KingdomThe cleanliness of the apartment (1) and bathroom. I am not sure if anyone mentioned the absence of the blinds in the bathroom. The windows are facing both the street and the courtyard. I had to use towels instead.
The place is an oasis of serenity. You can only hear the birds and crickets singing.. really peaceful! You can enjoy any meal in the garden, which makes for a wonderful experience. I do recommend the place to anyone that would like to escape the busy city life. The place is also pet friendly, which is a bonus.

RomaniaShower gel was missing from the room when we arrived, we asked for it and received hand lotion, then asked again and received finally shower gel Staff needs more training in terms of activities that one can do at the location. The personnel is rarely smiling and they don’t seem to know all activities one can do (maybe put a booklet in the room explaining different options). In hospitality business, staff is very important, and a nice smile and welcoming guests explaining about different activities that they can do will improve the overall experience.
Owner very friendly Very good choices of food, very tasty Quiet location, beautiful scenery Sparkling clean Mask and social distance well kept

RomaniaTap water is not drinkable. The houses in the village are pretty far from each other. For a couple to stay in a whole house by themselves with no neighbours felt pretty isolated not to mention the sounds in the attic at 4 in the morning. We slept like rabbits. It is better suited for larger groups
Breakfast was good, but is not included in the room price. Coffee not so good, nor the flavoured lemon or cucumber water. Playing with the bow and shootings arrows at the location was a nice activity.

Romania- There is no difference between the people working in the reception and the restaurant. If the restaurant is busy, it seems that nobody is working in the reception - a bit overpriced - low water pressure in the shower
- very strong wifi across the Cund village - the food is absolutely delicious, although it is expensive - the restaurant staff is amazing. We felt amazing. - the accommodation is unique - the area is really peaceful and everyone is very welcoming

A rural, quiet place. I found the fine dining in this remote place and in connection with the accomodation absolutely extraordinary! Jonas is not just a chef and business visionary person, but also a warm and affable conversation partner.

RomaniaThe breakfast was quite heavy, even for us, Romanians, with lots of meat and fat.
The house we stayed at was a lot bigger and prettier than expected. The landscape all-around is wonderful and an easy 5-min hike can offer you a panoramic view. The restaurant's yard is also really cozy and peaceful.
