How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

No sweetener in the restaurant there was no table lamp

In the weekend the breakfast starts from 8 (but during the week is from 7) and we couldn't take it one day - there was no option to change to have it in the day we arrived. There was a wedding in the weekend - at first floor we could hear it in the room - but could have been worse.
It was convenient close to the university where we had some work to do. It was quite modern, clean, open restaurant all day (which is good as they are not so many in the area), nice decorations and plants. They allowed us to checking earlier

The only slight mark down was that there was no lounge area for the guests. There were events on Saturday & Sunday so the outdoor areas (extensions of the cafe/diner) were fully occupied by folk smoking & enjoying their functions. Everyone was very well dressed and very well-behaved but meant having to camp out in your room.
Nice room, comfortable bed, big windows, good shower & wet room. Breakfast basic and did the job. Good location. 4 or 5 km out of town. Bus stop very close by - able to get to town, station, shopping mall & airport very easily. Also a number of stores, cafes & other places to eat 5 mins away. WiFi ran well. I messaged to make sure it was ok to arrive at 4am. They said it was. When I did the receptionist was caught unawares. After some snimated discussion he responded well and gave me the key to the room. The same receptionist very kindly let me leave my suitcase there for the day after I had checked out.

Everything was ok.
Room clean, tidy, quite spacious. Everyday room was cleaned. Breakfast good, but needs a little bit more variety.

The mattress could be stiffer. In my room, the signal of the wireless network was very weak and interrupted.
A good choice and a tasty breakfast. Excelent parking place. Nice and welcoming staff. Good coverage of sport events by the cable TV provider.

- Had to carry suitcase up the stairs to entrance and up to room, no lift - Furniture a bit basic - Sugary drinks in place of fruit juice at breakfast (am diabetic) - Choice for breakfast was quite basic - Had to ask for extra bed covers (cold weather), other places have these in wardrobe - Shower had no curtain and no real holder for shower head, floor got wet
- Nice quiet location not too far from city centre - Lovely entrance stairs with planting - Well equipped bedroom - Large bathroom with jacuzzi bath - Power points at bedside to charge phone

The hotel did not have an elevator and our room was at third floor. My mom is 82 years old, the receptionist, found another room at first floor. He helped us also with the luggage on the stairs. I contacted the hotel after booking, and they confirmed that the restaurant is open until 10pm. We arrived after 8pm and the restaurant was close. The receptionist was very helpful ordering pizza for us.
The receptionist was very professional and helpful, the room was clean.

The bathtub was leaking during shower. The bed was too soft. The location is near the airport. Interior AC unit was too noisy and not that efficient in cooling the room. Not too many seats available inside for having breakfast.
Hotel is clean. . Parking is available on site. Iulius Park is near the location.

If you are like me… over 90kg i wish you good luck to take a shower… and to stay o the toilet! it is impossible… the bathroom is to small!

Restaurant (kitchen) closes at 9.30 pm - not a big issue though.
The room was clean, spacious and well equipped. Friendly staff. I'll definitely stay here again when traveling to cluj.

Thin walls, there was a group of teenagers who were staying that night partying. They made a lot of noise at 4 in the morning with the doors slamming, laughing and talking loud.Not the hotel's fault ,but still could have been managed maybe differently.
Big bed, good shower, numerous power outlets. 30 minutes walking to the center, was exactly what we needed for one night in Cluj. Very friendly and helpful staff.
