Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RomaniaThe house was located across the street from King Charles house, the courtyard was lovely and quaint, our room was just the right size and very cozy. We were served breakfast in our room and it was really delicious. Our host was very friendly and attentive to our needs. I would definitely recommend this property.

RomaniaThe access to our room was a ladder common to rural areas and used to go up in the attic. Good for that but totally unpractical for going up and down to access your room. Also, the window did not have any insect screen therefore one must endure the presence of flies and mosquitos should you need fresh air or cooler air. But don't let this stop you from paying them a visit.
It's a magical location, all in all, if you are nostalgic of your summer at your grandparents living in a rural area. It's all that and more, it speaks to your sophisticated and adult self of nowadays. The owners tried and managed to create a place that seems almost untouched by the pass of time, it's even better hundreds of years later. Exquisite pieces of rural functional art pieces, delicious breakfast served in vintage plates, loved everything.

CanadaIf your not driving you will need to arrange for a taxi in Sighisoara as there is no public transport to Viscri. This wasn't a problem and was relatively inexpensive.
Beautiful surroundings in the countryside, quaint and comfy rooms, and a warm, welcoming and helpful host. The small village has an amazing photo exhibit on country life in one of King Charles' houses (right across the street) and you can experience the cows and goats taking themselves out to pasture down the main street in the morning. Breakfast was delicious. You won't want to miss meeting the host's 3 geese who are models and tv celebrities! Overall our favorite stay during our 2 weeks in Romania. Highly recommended!

RomaniaAn aspect which was not depending on the owner or facilities, was the cold weather during the night (7th of September). This was prevented by the owner who placed in the room an electrical radiator. We pluged-in the radiator in the snuff close to the window and discovered that it stopped during the night. When we tried to turn it back on, the snuff was not working, neither the light in the room, so we assumed that was a problem with the entire electrical line. In the morning it worked back, so we could warm a bit before leaving.
The location is situated in the middle of the village (across the street is the King Charles III's residence). We were grateful that the place is very quite. The owner was very kind and open to chat during our stay. The yard is actually a green oasis, with a lot of trees and and flowers, actually a perfect place to rest and spend an evening or morning while enjoyng a coffee or a book. The rooms are actually on the barn's bridge level and that was a very interesting aspect. Both the room and the bathroom were very clean, with traditional furniture, but with a hint of a scandinavian lifestyle, but also new facilties (hairdryer, lamp), with big windows and very spacious. We appreciated the old (restaurated) furniture which placed us in another reality. During the morning, the owner wanted to offer us the breakfast wihich contained maybe the best toast that I ever ate and a very great cup of tea.

RomaniaI don't know if the price it's fair for the condition. It's price for a good hotel room not for a room in the attic.
Clean room in old house. Not quite my tipe of accomodations but for one night it's acceptable. Two beds instead of one, but clean.
