Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FinlandOur stay at the Ento Apartmani "Vlaška kuća" rural guesthouse was an absolute delight, offering us a genuine experience of Serbian rural hospitality. The owner made an impression on us with his sweetness, passion, and a warm welcome that set the tone for our stay. Even though we arrived late, he stayed up for us and kindly offered us traditional plum jam and rakia - a gesture that we appreciated wholeheartedly. Despite being exhausted from our journey, his hospitality was a warm and comforting presence. He even kindly offered dinner, which we had to decline due to fatigue, but this gesture added to our positive impression. In the morning, we were treated to a super breakfast which he made especially for us, demonstrating his commitment to providing guests with a personalized and memorable experience. For those seeking an authentic Serbian rural stay, we couldn't recommend this place enough!

SerbiaThe complex is right next to the main village street, so the sound of vehicles crossing by during the night are very load. It's good to have some ear bugs! But everything else is really nice!!
Everything is very nice! Typical East - Serbian village atmosphere. The hosts are great, warm and friendly!

IsraelNeed some more maintenance, especially the shower, that wet the entire room. Towels ☹️suggest to allow bigger and thicker towels. Those we got were clean but small (“napkins”)…
The owner went out of his mind to please and serve us to the best he could. Even used google translate to skip language difficulties. He is so helpful. Place is old and tried to be authentic. Pleasant. Clean. Basic facilities. Good fresh basic breakfast. We admire the efforts he made to keep us comfort.

HungaryIt was one of the best accommodation we have ever had. Tufa was an amazing host, he always tried to look out for our needs. His wife is an excellent cook, all the meals we had were extremely delicious and traditional. He even arranged a boat trip for us which we could not have done without him. His positive, welcoming and always smiling attitude made our journey unforgettable.

HungaryThis part of the country is a bit out of the mainstream tourism, therefore everybody tries to utilize the existing assets with less renovations. The bathroom would need some renovation.
A real etno house, with nice authentic equipment. Very friendly hosts, they helped to order dinner from Kladovo. Plentiful breakfast.

SerbiaShower curtain should be 20 cm. longer. But, that could be just my personal preference and not an real issue.
The owners of the place Mrs. Radmila and Mr. Slavisa made us feel part of their family. Always smiling, helpful and surprise, surprise Mr. Slavisa took us (me and my wife) for a ride in the open deck 1984 VW Beatle around the village, giving us a brief history of the place ! Now that was something unexpected and very, very nice. Since we stayed only one night we had to promise to come back again for longer stay so he can take us on a boat ride. Our room was spacious, flatscreen TV and AC were present and working as well as wi-fi. I forgot to test the speed (again) but it was decent as far as I can tell. Parking was available on site (in the courtyard) near our room so we kept the car windows rolled down - it was very, very hot that day. The sitting and dining area was under the greenery that kept us protected from scorching heat (that day was approx. 39 Celsius). My wife and I loved the rustic ambiance and old, happier times vibe. Breakfast was great - all home produced, eggs, ham, cheese, bread, tomatoes... oh, I almost forgot - they serve Turkish coffee, strong, just how I like it, The greatest asset, in my opinion are both hosts - warm and welcoming.

IndiaOne of the room had a very stinky smell. They don’t have towels. The bathroom shower cabinet doesn’t have sufficient glass to cover it. If they upgrade the rooms a little, it’s a perfect home stay where you can experience the life of the local
A traditional home stay in a quite & peaceful neighbourhood with very warm and welcoming hosts. The owner was very gracious and helped us to book our boat tour in span of minutes. The breakfast and dinner was traditional and amazing....the fish was absolutely amazing with the traditional mint drink. They made us fall in love with the Serbian cuisine and hospitality. So nice of them to give us a parting gift/souvenirs. The icing on the cake was the ride in the open deck 1984 VW Beatles with which the owner took us around the area of this small town. The rooms are a bit outdated and definitely need a makeover. We lived here with our two kids 10 and 12 years old and had taken two rooms. They have a big restaurant which looks like is not functional due to covid but owner has toured us through the facility along with kitchen area when we thought the breakfast area outside is the only area. Tip - Owner loves Rakia and offers the same during the dinner :-)

This is the best ethno house I have ever stayed in! It is kept very clean and the staff is amazing! I felt at home and well taken care of. The owners will recommend that you come for a meal at the Natura restaurant, which is also run by the same family. The restaurant offers amazing sunsets and beautiful views of Romania, as well as delicious food. He will definitely stay here again.
