Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The staff were excellent. Warm and friendly but also very professional. The quality of the food is outstanding. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and professional. They two guys that worked in the restaurant went above and beyond to help us. I am diamond member at Hilton and wanted to get away from a large corporation feel, often boutique hotel can miss the mark. This one did not! Everything was good with the added surprise of exceptional food.

SloveniaThe price. I paid 50€ per night more than my colleague who booked the hotel 2 weeks after I did. We both booked much in advance. Hence, check the price with the hotel before booking it.
Everything. This is one of the best hotels I’ve been to so far. Exceptional design, perfect location, extremely kind and helpful staff, fantastic prepared breakfast. Simply amazing. Private secured parking 50 meters from the hotel is also a great asset.

All the staff were lovely and very helpful, thank you Tamara on the front desk in particular! The hotel was beautifully done, the room was very well appointed and comfortable and breakfast was very good. We used the Spa, the sauna was good and the massage fantastic. Location was also great. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby but also not far to walk to the main part of the old town or the waterfront.

United KingdomDue to the central location, the rooms can be slightly noisy, as you're quite close to the street. They've done their best to minimise this though.
The location was perfect. Right beside a row of restaurants and cafes, and within 10 mins walk of nearly everything you'd want to explore. The wifi was fantastic, and the rooms were amazing. The breakfast was pretty good, and the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. The rooms have Japanese-style screens for privacy during the day, but also roller black-out blinds for a pitch black room.

HungaryJust a small misunderstanding. When first viewing the listing, it might seem that the sauna is part of the price you pay for the room, since the sauna photos are uploaded aloong with the room photos. It isn't part of the full price. It's 30 EUR extra for a day.
The whole atmosphere was luxurious. The internal design is top-notch and the staff is exceptional; they were extremely polite, attentive and friendly. The restaurant that is part of the hotel is equally high quality and the staff there are also at the top of their game. If you send a message in time, you can reserve a gated parking spot behind the hotel.

NetherlandsStayed here for the weekend with my wife. The rooms are very nice and clean. The decoration in the walls and lights are amazing. The hotel has its own restaurant,but there are also other food facilities around. And right in front of the hotel is a grocery store that's open 24/7. The windows use a triple layer glass and make the room totally sound proof, which is a big plus considering the outside noise of vehicles and pedestrians. Definitely worth a visit!
