Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe breakfast was OK, but the juice and milk were not fresh. I would have preferred fresh juice and not UHT milk. The bathroom in Room #5 is very tight on space.
This is a B&B and it works well. I chose this hotel because it was close to the venue for a work meeting. It is in a quiet location with a restaurant nearby, so the hotel worked well for my trip.

BulgariaRoom was a bit dull, and one can hear others showering and using water, even at the breakfast hall. Parking available on the street. Restaurant was not open, but the staff recommended a very nice one nearby.
Located in a quiet quarter away from the city center, with available comparatively late check in, easy to reach by car. Room had a fridge, and a bar. Bed ok. Staff very friendly and useful.

United KingdomOur room was a little tired looking for such a nice hotel. Could maybe do with freshening up a bit. I must stress this is a minor complaint. This is a good hotel.
This is a small hotel in what is a very peaceful and affluent area away from the City Centre. There are two or three restaurants within walking distance - which is a bonus. The staff are very friendly and helpful and speak English. We had a good sized room upstairs with a jacuzzi bath. There is a good breakfast selection and the wifi is very strong. There is a nice outdoor pool area, however the pool was not operating during our stay. Definitely recommend.

North Macedoniathe curtains are extremely dysfunctional, so it is impossible to have a sleeping atmosphere in the room. The floor creaks when you walk on it. Breakfast is extremely modest. There is no butter for breakfast and it lacks a lot of what would be a breakfast staple
