How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

While I was highly satisfied with my overall experience at the Casablanca Grand Hotel, there are a few points I’d like to highlight. The hotel management was very attentive, even reaching out to me via messages and a phone call. However, I believe they should focus on improving their housekeeping services. Although the hotel provided excellent service overall, the housekeeping aspect fell slightly short. Attention to detail and agility in addressing guest needs would further enhance the guest experience. Despite this, my overall stay was magnificent, and I extend my gratitude to the management for their efforts.
1- Location and Proximity: The hotel’s strategic location near the airport is a significant advantage. Despite its age, the recent renovation (about four to five years ago) has breathed new life into the property. 2- Front Desk Hospitality: The front desk and duty manager provided exceptional service. Their efficiency during check-in, along with a warm smile and complimentary coffee, left a positive impression. 3- Cozy Lobby: Although the lobby is somewhat small, it exudes a homely and welcoming ambiance. 4- Clean and Cozy Rooms: The hotel rooms were clean and cozy, ensuring a comfortable stay. 5- Delicious Breakfast: The restaurant team went above and beyond to make breakfast memorable. The abundant, tasty, and fresh food, especially the omelette and falafel, stood out. The real fresh juices were a delightful touch. 6- I also recommend that the hotel management consider establishing a shuttle service between the hotel and the Arab Mall. Such a shuttle would enhance the attractiveness of staying at this hotel, especially given its prime location near the airport and one of Jeddah’s largest malls. The Casablanca Grand Hotel’s proximity to the airport and the Arab Mall makes it convenient for travelers and shoppers alike. Whether you’re exploring the city or indulging in retail therapy, having a shuttle service would certainly add to the overall guest experience.

We request extra-bed the charge us for it , why if you consider as 5 star why the charge then , lobby full of decoration that make you feel confuse lots of things modern , cultural, museum the need a modern decoration

Parking lot had narrow entrance and exists , I had a big car . The Main Street in front the hotel was busy and cars were speeding . The view was terrible The buffet was below average for an expensive hotel .

You would need a car or a taxi to get around from the Hotel so it felt a bit isolated.
Rooms are very spacious and the Hotel is super clean. It has a nice roof restaurant by the pool. The breakfast buffet was really good. Location is very close to the airport and Arab Mall.

It is our second time at this amazing hotel. We had a 20 hour layover in Jeddah and we chose this hotel to spend our transit. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean. The fresh flowers in the lobby is spectacular. Me and my husband we love this hotel and its our first choice to stay at in Jeddah.

Lights in room were hard to control and turn off. Odd choice of amenities with no hand soap only one small container of shower gell.

I forgot to ask for a non smoking room so there was a slight smell of smoke in the room. However it was not overly strong and did not bother me too much.
The service from the staff was exceptional. The welcome we got when we arrived was refreshing and the hotel is modern, clean with very nice staff.

The reception staff saw us and told us the hotel was fully booked. When we said we have seen on booking.com rooms arw available then he was like ok. Then we said we will book directly with you and he doubled the price. So i showed him and then his like no dinner or breakfast. Then we showed the price include half board on booking.com. so we booked on booking.com. They rayher prefer Arabs to book their rooms then foreigners.
The hotel was nice and clean. The hotel staff was nice apart from the reception staff.

Communication between the staff and overpayment still not returned. It has been more than 3 months. I have sent emails and messages but no response! Family had to pay cash even though it was communicated to the hotel that I will be paying through credit card and guaranteed them in writing. Still, they did not accommodate, and they paid cash. Balance of which is still due to us from the hotel.
