A few details could make the place even better. People at the front desk could speak a better English. The toilet brush comes from Ikea, not at the standard of the rest of the hotel. In the bathroom a few structural elements were damaged (stain on the ceiling, loose floor tile, ...). It's annoying that the room balcony blocks the view, maybe at least add mirrors instead of paint.

Very large standard room, although not my absolute taste it was richly decorated and very comfortable. The entrance hall is nice and cosy, the corridors are spotless and the amber perfume gives it a nice feeling. The gym is huge and (but accessible by outside clients). The living-room and its terrace on the first floor are very cosy and comfortable. Everyone was super nice. We didn't try the restaurant Morini but it looked beautiful.

I can hear guests from the room next to me and that woke me up. the reception calls the room even if you have the DND sign.

Limited accessibility to the female gym (out sourced -a gym called al multaqa, non of the front desk staff seemed to know the gym’s working hours, access cards were not available upon check in, no contact numbers to the gym in the room, and after all when I finally managed to get almultaqa’s number it turned out they only open at 10 am or later on Sunday and Friday! which does not suit women travelling for work!) - It is a 5 star hotel that mentioned gym facilities on their booking page, non of that nuisance was mentioned. I mentioned this upon check out, the front desk staff was so defensive and said it was the gym’s problem they’re suppose to open at 8 am! - The bedding was so lush, however unfortunately they did not have luxury hypoallergenic alternatives. - lastly had issues with my in room dining experience: ordered truffled scrambled eggs, received an egg Benedict with some cold cuts instead, called to clarify the wrong order, then I got plain scrambled eggs no truffle. black coffee arrived cold and not in a thermos. Also, they need in room menus or at least a bar code, I had to turn on the TV and look for their menus on there. Unfortunately they lost some big points with all of the above which makes the value for the money questionable.

Excellent customer service and a huge thank you to Mohamed from Sudan who helped us with the taxi. The room was one of the best I have ever stayed in. Location is excellent and some good facilities near by.
