Generally very good, points worth noting are it's a little further from the main tourist areas but with a car everything is easily accessible. Property is up on a hill, would be a difficult walk for some without a car.

Nice hosts with all the necessary facilities and good location with an excellent view from the terrace. Both bedrooms have AC and good Wi-Fi. No complaints from us.

Very bright, spacious, extremely clean house. They even come and clean after 4 days in, replacing papers and stuff. Dogs around the house super cute. Owners very responsive, attentive and accurate in every aspect, remaining gently in the background without disturbing your privacy but immediately there for you if needed. A/C in bedrooms a huge deal for tropical nights. Very generous hosts, even let us stay until 6 p.m. on last day due to late flight. Bonus: one of Mahe's best beaches less than 2 minutes by car (Anse Royal). Pretty good shop (Kumar and Kumar) just a few hundred meters from villa. Garden and porch great for evening wine and wave listening. Internet working very well, even got an extension for bedroom. Hosts prepared European style electric converters; super attentive. Hosts update you on all island activities and options on programs, dining, shopping, day trips etc. Wonderful option for island stay when looking for own private apartment.

- The road leading to the house is quite steep. - There aren't many places/shops close to the house. A car is needed in order to go around.

- Matthew has been super welcoming and helpful. He was really responsive to our messages and he provided us with a lot of suggestions for places to visit and activities to do. He even woke up at 5 in the morning to say goodbye to us when we were leaving. - The house is spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Also the wi-fi was working fine without any issues. - The view from the balcony is stunning!

Everything was just perfect, the host Matthew was trying to do his best, really awesome experience, strongly recommended to come and enjoy.

The host Matthew is super welcoming and helpful. We were lucky to have fresh fruits (mango, papaya, coconut), he got us around and showed what to explore nearby and what to buy. Amazing view from the apartments, the beach is approx 5 min walk - very beautiful and romantic one. The apartment was very spacious. It's tidied and meticulously cleaned. Matthew was always willing to help and answer all the questions, and was kind enough to drive us back to airport on departure. Super nice host and apartment, highly recommend.

Brilliant location with stunning views from the balcony. The villa was large and spacious set in beautiful grounds and great wildlife - the fruit bats were amazing. The WiFi worked without any problem. The hosts, Myrvin and Jeff were wonderful. They even prepared a mid-week meal for us that was delicious. Fairyland beach is a 5 minute drive away and has some lovely snorkelling in warm shallow waters. If we were to return to the Seychelles we would definitely choose the Songbird again. Many thanks to Myrvin and Jeff.

Everything was perfect. Matthew is a very attentive and welcoming host. Great location of the villa, especially if you are by car. The villa is surrounded by jungle and garden with fruit trees. The house has two terraces that offer great views of the ocean. If you get up early you can enjoy the view of a spectacular sunrise. And in the evenings before sunset you don't want to leave your balcony. Clouds in the light of the setting sun, foxes flying, birds...and of course the ocean! Matthew, thank you so much! Hope we'll be back again )

We were in March 2023. Awesome place. Gorgeous orchard and view from the terrace. The birds are singing. Cosy. Everything you need is there. Close to shop with good selection and prices. Internet is normal. 3-4 minutes walk - a pleasant, intimate beach, it will be comfortable with children, as it is shallow. There are algae in places, but this is not a problem. 3 minutes by bus and you are at Anse Royal. Separately, I would like to note the hospitable and kind hosts, such people are not often found. Well done Matthew! In general, the locals are very friendly, you feel safe.

Nothing I didn't like but the walk from the road to the apartment up the hill may be challenging for some. A small swimming pool or plunge pool would be the icing on the cake, but then the beach is minutes away.

Apartment was very comfortable and clean and had everything you need and more. Kitchen had all the appliances and utensils. Bathrooms had plenty of storage and were large. Bedrooms were a good size had enough storage and A/C. Host, Matthew, was very helpful and knowledgeable even booking one of our tours for us. Loved that they grow their own fruit on the property, we were given some delicious avocado's and mango's. Well stocked supermarket within a few minutes walk, as was the beach. Only 15 minutes walk to Takamaka distillery and a few restaurants. Would highly recommend Songbird Villa.

The road up to the place is quite steep and curvy, not easyly accessible if you are not a confident driver, especially at night.

Our villa was very spacious and comfortable and the location on the hill, with its lush garden was just picture perfect. The owners are very nice and helpful. They gave us a warm welcome and explained a bit about the surrounding area. All in all, we had a lovely time and really enjoyed our last days in the seychelles.

Excellent stay in a large, bright, clean apartment. Location was the perfect base to explore the island. (Car rental recommended to be able to explore at your own pace). Beautiful view from the patio. Kind, friendly hosts who very kindly allowed us a late checkout for our evening flight.

The apartment was great and extra comfortable, with an amazing view over the sea - you can enjoy glorious sunrises from the terrace! Myrvin and Matthew have been extremely nice and accommodating - check out was in the morning, but they arranged for us to take a shower before our evening flight.

The view, a dream! To start the day in the morning with breakfast on the terrace was just terrific. All over this was a great accommodation, very large, clean and well equipped. The family that rents it are super helpful and cordial, everything went smoothly. We can not complain at all, as we had a great time there!

Like most of the Seychelles, only the bedrooms have AC The mattress could use some refreshing

If you are thinking about it, don't think twice! The villa has two floors, we had the lower floor with 2 bedrooms, two bathrooms, a big living rooms, a big kitchen with a big dining table and balconies everywhere. The bed was UV light tested - and found clean. The way to the villa from the airport took about 20-25 minutes on a car (we recommend the Okap car rental services) The villa has no beach up front, but the location is high with a very good view. The hosts are amazing, we had everything we needed and more. You have an amazing view to the sunrise over the ocean The garden is beautiful and there is a free space to park your car We even got some electrical adaptors, which is very important...

The location was perfect for people wanting a relaxing and quiet stay, however if you wanted more night life and bars etc then the north shore would be more up your street :)

From the minute I booked Songbird Villa, I felt taken care of! Myrvin and her family were so welcoming and looked after us from the word go. The villa itself was fully equipped for what we needed and was very comfortable and clean. Amazing views of the surrounding area and the sea - beautiful sunrises! Myrvin and her family helped us get car hire, find the local shops and markets and gave us loads of info about the island and things to do. Nothing was too much for them as hosts and we are so grateful to have had such a wonderful experience on the island and can't wait to come back again one day!

Myrvin and Jeff (the owners) went above and beyond to make sure we have an a great time staying at their Villa. My family and I were amazed and deeply touched by how caring and thoughtful they were. Just one example: my mom has been struggling with bad knees, and when I mentioned it to Myrvin in an unrelated conversation, she later came back to us with a chair for my mom to sit on the beach. And whenever we had a question or an ask, they were always there to provide a prompt help or advice. The villa itself was incredible - located on a hill, we've had a truly beautiful view on the ocean. It was *such* a pleasure to sit on a balcony every day, having breakfast or dinner, admire and listen to the ocean, hear the birds singing, and look at the lush greenery surrounding the property. The apartment itself was very spacious - big bedrooms and bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen - it had everything we needed. Honestly, this stay was absolutely perfect for us and we couldn't wish for a better experience. Many thanks to Myrvin, Jeff and their son Matthew for having us. It goes without saying that I highly recommend this place for anyone considering staying in Mahe.

Nothing to complain

Very nice, tidy house. Myrvin and Jeff did everything to make our stay the most pleasant and comfortable. All you need for self catering is available. Large balcony with a nice beachfront view. Myrvin prepared bread fruit and a large grouper for us, very delicious. Cleaning was absolutely sufficient, Wi-Fi worked mostly without problems. bus station and supermarket could be reached easily after a few minutes walk. If we would come again we would definitely choose this accomodation again.

The villa was very spacious and is situated on a hill with a very nice view over the ocean. There is also a big terrace on which you can have your breakfast while looking at the waves come in. Het hosts are very friendly and will do everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They are lovely people who take care of the smallest details. In the house there are guidebooks available with very usefull ideas for hikes and other things to do on the island. The place really contributed to our experience in the Seychelles and we would recommend booking it without hesitation.
