Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IsraelFor the price you don't get too much. There's no pool, no bar or food service (except for breakfast at additional cost). Gym costs extra. Spa is pricey. Also the room lacks trash options with only 2 small bins.
Location was very good, right on the beach and close to Anse Source. Staff was also very nice, especially Sayeed.

South AfricaBreakfast was monotonous, being the same types of food day in day out. Perception created about the place being a luxury hotel and spa is a bit exegerated. The place is 3 double story bungalows with no office on-site. Switch for one outside light is outside the room. Steep staircase upto the room, not ideal with heavy bags. No phones in the room to enable contact with management in case of an emergency. Noise from the Reggae Bar across the road till very late. Noise from earthmoving equipment around 6h00 or 07h00 in the morning as rooms are next to busiest road in the area.
Proximity to the park and beaches. Proximity to restaurants. Spacious room. Arranging bicycles for moving around La Digue. TV, mini fridge and microwave oven in the room. Safe in the room.

HungaryIt is not a 4 star luxury hotel at all, only a basic 3 stars accommodation, not a hotel. The reggea bar and the reconstruction nearby is very loud. Also the big window in the shower is strange. Maybe you can’t see everything from outside but still makes you feel uncomfortable. Also the curtains are small in the room.
It is in great location in La Digue close to everything. The bed was comfortable, the view was nice. Air condition was quiet. Said was nice helping with the luggages.

FranceThe price is absolutely not worth the prestation what you will get. No restaurant service ( breakfast but 20 e/ per person when you pay 300 e a night it’s a joke). No coaches service. If you want to use the gym you have to pay an extra lol. Extremely noise, like really, I’m not exaggerating, the reggae bar is putting loud bass music until 00 or even 3 am. Right now they are building an hotel next to the place so it’s very noisy in the day too ( but they are not responsible). Sometimes people and workers are passing in your garden, so for the intimacy is low, and the curtain are too little, they should change honestly.
The view is great and the appartement is very close to one of the most beautiful beach. The flat was clean and they are doing the cleaning everyday. The owner was helpful for our request ( taxi booking) Saïd one the worker is very kind. The little jacuzzi is quite good and working well.

FranceYou open the door of your room and you are immediately on the beach. The beach is private which is really nice as we were with our babies. Quiet despite the fact the heliport of La Digue is 150m from the Guest House ( it’s funny to see them coming and go) Really close to everything ( shops, restaurants and also closed to Anse Source d’Argent) You can rent bikes just next door. The staff was really helpful and kind.

SwitzerlandThe bed was too hard ant there could be a thin option for the pillow, because it is quite thick.
Beautiful room, good breakfast (just the time variates a bit from day to day - some times too earlyy, some times too late). The reggae-bar who is near had loud music on friday - no problem for us, but maybe some people can be disturbed. The other day's we didn't hear the reggae-bar. The bed is the biggest minus-point - is is quite hard :/ But the rest was nearly perfect - good location, good breakfast, really nice room (the whirlpool is also very nice!), good service. We can recommend La Digue Luxury Beach & Spa.

IsraelBreakfast and dinner are brought from another restaurant and sometimes you need to wait until food arrives. There is a construction site facing the bathroom window and it should be covered.
Very large room and bathroom with a porch facing the beach. Steep stairs lead to the second floor and you need to be careful. Hotel located right on the beach and the view of the sunset is great. Staff was ready to help with whatever we asked help with.

United StatesCheck-in was difficult as nobody is there at front entrance. You have to find a worker nearby.
Amazing location one of the closest (or the closest) hotels to the main beach in La Digue, Anse Source d’Argent. There is an entrance fee of about 100-150 Seychelles to enter per person. The area includes a tortoise farm among other things. The hotel is located almost on top of the beach. However, we didn’t find ourselves staying at the hotel beach it’s not as nice with the large, typical granite rock La Digue is known for. The owner will arrange bicycle rentals if you ask, which is a must to get around the island! You’re not renting the bikes specifically from her, but from another “company.” Everybody (businesses) is basically connected some way or another on the islands as the island is very small (3k population). This place is always booked as there is only 6 rooms total (3 small houses 2 stories each). As of October 2022 they opened up a little spa center and are building 6 more rooms and a restaurant. Breakfast was decent enough. We got a vegetable egg omelette, toast, crepe (pancakes) some fruit, coffee and tea. One of the only complaints I would have is the “reception” area. There isn’t really anybody there 24/7 waiting on you to check in/out. It took us a while to find someone to check in at first (you need to find a nearby worker) and as the days passed by, other guess clearly were having some issues checking in also. Not everyone has cellphone service so it can be hard to contact the hotel initially when you arrive to La Digue if you don’t have Wi-Fi. With that said, the owner is super helpful and VERY responsive on the what’s app number of hotel. We actually met her in person and she is awesome! She can connect you with anyone on the island for whatever you need! Wi-Fi is decent enough, slow, but for sending messages it’s adequate. A taxi should be 150 Seychelles from Port to hotel. They wanted 200 and we told them 150 and they accepted.

Czech RepublicThe whole La Digue feels like it was forgotten in the 90s. The furtniture, the people, but the prices are insenaly high. The was for the accomodation. We paid slightly more that for Mahe and the comfort was totally different. I think if they would invest a bit to the rocenstruction, it would be enough. Some may find troublesome, that the people wander around your place, but you can barely see inside, so you are safe if you are shy. We had some troubles with people living upstairs, they were kinda loud. Also the reggae bar, well the fridge with ac is more loud, so we slept well, more problems were caused with bed and its stiffness.
The location was great for the trips to further beaches. Breakfast was good but repetitive and the same as we had for one week on Mahe. The appartments is litteraly on the beach, which is sadly not so great. There is large fridge with a freezer. Cheap and delicious takeaway food eaten on the beach with sunset on comfortable chairs.

CambodiaThe view is a little spoiled by the construction near by, the workers start after 8 and work full day, so if you stay home it will be noisy. There's also a bar nearby which could be a bit noisy, but they finish early.
Great location and nice big rooms, there's even a hot tub in the balcony. You can enjoy the sunset, there's a grill that you can use for some cooking. The host allowed us to check out late and also helped us rent bikes for a good price.

We stayed in the bungalow La Mer, which had the best garden and beach access. If we come back we would only want to be in this bungalow. Bridgette was amazing as was the gardener.
