How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Our room has very modern fixtures. The establishment is not too far from the shops but exceptionally quiet and relaxing. Very attentive and helpful hosts. An amazing place.

The house is new. It's decorated very nicely and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It's worth mentioning, that it is better than the pictures. The staff is very polite and always at hand if you need anything. It's perfectly clean and they also clean during your stay. We loved the pool and the views. We definitely recommend staying here and if we ever come back to Seychelles, we will definitely rebook.

This apartment surpassed out expectations. Location is perfect, calm place, with a sea view from the pool, where we were all the time alone. Apartment is big, clean, has all what we needed. Located app 1 km from the nearest beach, not a problem to reach by walk.

Not easy to find the way to get there the first time, but I can confirm the GPS coordinates you get with your reservation are correct. A couple of cats from the neighborhood seems very used to "invade" the courtyard and ask for attentions (I do like animals... but I also like my quiet time). Little ants everywhere around, inside and outside... but looks like this is common in Seychelles anyway: we saw the same in a different property.
Friendly host, available to solve any issue. A very nice, new, clean apartment. Very large bedroom. The shower in the bathroom is huge and water flow is strong. The small swimming pool becomes a private one when other guests are not around, and nice to use at the end of the day.

Perfectly clean and a quiet lovely oase to stay on the most beautiful side of Mahe. Very convenient when you have a car! For now, you only share the swimming pool with another appartement, which means most of the time you have it for yourself!

The property is tricky to find, as Google maps doesn’t take you to the right place. It would be easier if the host communicates this earlier.
A beautiful property and wonderful host. The view and the swimming pool are the highlights. The apartment had all the facilities. The host was kind enough to let us do a late check-out.

The apartment is in a great, quiet location. You will definitely require a car to explore the area. There is a really nice pool that you can use and the view has a "jungle-like" feeling. The apartment is very big and has all the amenities one could hope for. Thank you so much for your great hospitality! Highly recommended!!

at first getting there might be a little bit tricky but it’s manageable
Super friendly people- like all over the island, always smiling and trying to help you. Amazing place, so beautiful and the apartment was so spacious with all the equipment you need. Regular size pool but with a beautiful view over the small “jungle” and the ocean in the background. It was really good stay!

Absolutely nothing!
OMG!!! I have never seen an apartment so clean!!! It had all the amenities that you will ever need on a trip.. my partner and I felt like we were home and it had an amazing view with an infinity pool..we will definitely be staying there again…Highly recommended!!

The location is off the main road and you have to drive on a one way road to get to it, however, the location is brilliant. You are surrounded by greenery and has an ocean view. I loved how peaceful and tranquil it is. The staffs are so nice and very welcoming. The apartment is so clean and spacious. You’ll definitely love it because my husband and I did.

The apartement is very difficult to reach because there are no indication and it is very difficult to talk with the owner before reaching the house. The contact on booking and the contact whey gave before reaching is difficult to answer the phone. Also to get into seychelles there is a form to fill and the apartement is still not registered, we wrote to the owner that answer to write in different telephone numer and we did not get help, luckili the Seychelles form was approved anyway. Then when we were able to reach it was easy to have support and the host were helpful.
The apartement was very nice, new and clean with nice outside area.
