It's very hard to find any negative aspects of our stay; however, if we had to mention something, it would be that we don't like instant coffee. It would have been nice to have high-quality ground coffee or a blender for making our own fruit juices. But these are just minor details that don't affect our overall assessment. Coffee and juices can be bought in the town everywhere :)

The cottage at the back was superb and quiet, with excellent apartment amenities including a sufficient kitchen (stove, oven, toaster, microwave, pots, plates, cutlery, fridge). Inside, there's a living room with a kitchen, a bedroom, and a bathroom. The free WiFi was very good for an island and despite staying with our 3-year-old child, we didn't hear any noise. It's close to the center and the ferry. Arthur picked us up and took our luggage and on our return, he directly dropped them off at the ferry. Arthur was very helpful, quickly addressing every request. It's a great place for sunset views. Severe beach just 3 minutes away by bike, and there is also bakery and shops nearby (3 min by a bike). Arthur helped us to rent bikes and did everything that we feel comfortable there. Very important for us was a washing machine. Just take some powder from home with you and you can wash your clothes, what is really helpful in a long-term journey. We really enjoyed our stay - our 3y. boy too. We highly recommend Villa Charette and thank you Arthur for everything!

The kitchen could be a bit better equipped (scissors, etc) but this is a minor point.

Loved the balcony- we could see both the sea and people passing along the street. Great location for exploring the island and going out for meals. The owner was kind and helpful and we appreciated the pick up at the jetty and late check out.

The bar across the street can be a little loud until 11pm, but it is hit or miss. It's not a big deal if you have a brown or white noise machine. This only applies to the units closest to the main street. The living room furniture was not the most comfortable, but it did the job!

Really loved the location of this villa. There are beaches that are within walking distance and are easily swimmable with clear waters. Arthur, the owner of the property, is a great host and the rest of the staff do a great job with the upkeep as well as the execution of their jobs. It is very close to many shops, beaches, bars and the overall ease of access is excellent. Really liked the appliances and fixtures in the villa as everything felt modernized. Definitely can have good meals and relax in this house as opposed to having to go out to eat all the time. Cooking, showering, doing laundry, hanging out on the balcony, everything was excellent.

Arthur together with Wendy were very kind and helpful and professional hosts during our stay. The apartments are very clean and well maintained. Nahid and Sita did a very good job in keeping our apartment clean and the garden tidy. We had a well equipment kitchen we all the tools we needed to cook and eat. Supermarkets for food are all very close reachable by bicycle. The apartment has an ideal location. It is 50m from a sandy beach and 450m from the jetty away. Arthur organized a pick-up from the jetty on arrival which was very helpful. For La Digue the best transport are bicycles. You can rent them on nearly every corner for approx. 150 Rupees/day. If you rent them for a longer period, you might can bargain a discount. Thank you Arthur and team for our pleasant stay, we would definitely choose your location again.

This is probably the best self catering appartment on the island! We stayed in the ground floor of the villa, the garden and view was perfect. All the staff were extremely friendly and always there to help.

There is nothing to complain about regarding the accommodation itself. Everything we needed was there, and close to restaurants. Perfect that it includes transport of the luggage to and from the ferry.

Bed was a little to soft for us. Mosquitos in the morning and evening. We had our own net for the bed,so no problem.

Close to beach and shops. Decent bed and shower. Good air-conditioning (in bedroom only). Only five minutes walk from ferry and our luggage was transported for us both ways by very pleasant young man from Bangladesh, called Nahid.

This is so nice venue. I have some doubts choosing self-catering option, but finally it was very satisfying. Everything you need is here. Shops around. Takeaways. The host took us from the ferry with his cargo bike. You need to get a bike to explore the island!
