Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

We traveled to Mahe for a 2-week relaxed vacation with my husband and his mother who flew in separately. Although our trip didn't start as planned and two of us ended up arriving one day later, the staff of Takamaka Green Village helped us out A LOT meeting my mother-in-law who arrived on time. We were really worried, since she is 76 years old and doesn't speak any English, but Simone made sure that everything went smoothly. After we have arrived, we met her and other members of staff who have become almost like a second family to us after these two weeks 😍 This is such an amazing place to stay, it has left such a warm feeling in our hearts! Rooms and facilities are very comfortable and spotlessly clean, the area is green and peaceful, a great beach is only 5 min by foot away, the food in the restaurant is fantastic (Abdul is an excellent cook!). But the main treasure is kind and open-hearted people working there, we already miss them. We are so grateful for everything and will absolutely be back!

IrelandThe staff was amazing, very friendly. Location top class, very close to one of the most beautiful beaches in Mahe. Breakfast was great with always fresh fruit. Abdul and his wonderful cooking skills and his smile! The garden is beautiful, well maintained, lot of interesting animals and flowers. Room was always clean. AC working properly ( too well in the main bedroom, so we used the one in the entrance room for the night and ceilings fan on in both rooms). The decoration is very nice and rooms are huge!

RussiaIf you need fast Internet, better use mobile data since the wifi in TGV is quite slow and would not be enough for work. I knew this beforehand so I was not surprised. Just a helpful advise for future travellers:)
I have enjoyed my stay at Takamaka Green Village. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The room was as described and even better. The atmosphere of this place is amazing, quiet and peaceful. And very green indeed :) The Takamaka beach is in just a 7-minute walking distance. The breakfast is delicious (you can have eggs of your choice, coffee/tea, juice, milk, cereal, a huge local fruit platter, toasted bread with butter and jam, various local pastries and small cakes). Some fruit come from their own garden! (like avocados). You can also arrange a dinner (just ask for it during your breakfast time). If you don’t drive, you have options of walking or taking a local bus to go explore Mahe.

GermanyDon't expect WiFi to be a part of your stay. For us it was okay checking Wifi at the reception every once in a while but if you are an Internet Junkie or Influencer you won't get happy.
If you are looking for a slow paced relaxed and beautiful location with friendly and open minded people this place is for you. The beach is a 5 min walk away and is one of the most beautiful beaches on Mahé. We stayed for 10 days and the beach was never crowded with a max of 10 -20 people on the whole beach. Abdul the chef prepared great breakfast and. Housekeeping was keeping an eye on our kids when they were strolling around the garden. Our daughters fell in love with Shanni, who braided their hair and even brought fresh Also Vera from the garden after too much sun. Max the owner is one of the nicest guys you could meet and even took us out to buy fresh fish for the BBQ on the back of his Pickup, the kids loved it. What can I say. When we left it felt like beefing friends rather than leaving a resort and its staff.

TanzaniaThe wifi connection was ok-ish but more could be done to make the guests happier .
I really enjoyed the friendliness of the stuff the tidiness of the grounds and the food cooked by Abdul the cook. I would recommend to book the dinner there as the quality of the food was way better than the one of the best rated restaurants on the island .

United KingdomEverything was absolutely perfect during our stay here thanks to the team Massimiliano, chef Abdul (the best food we had on the island), Simone and the whole team. The hotel is perfectly situated minutes away from beautiful Takamaka beach and is also well located to explore some of the other famous nearby beaches and attractions. The garden setting is quiet and peaceful and it feels like being part of a family, there is a personal touch in everything at Takamaka Green Village. The rooms are big and were perfectly cleaned and presented every day when we got back from exploring the island. Breakfast is a wonderful selection of fresh fruit, pancakes, fresh cake and eggs, basically whatever you like cooked fresh for you by the wonderful Abdul. We liked the food so much that we ended up having dinner at the hotel as well almost every evening! We didn’t want to leave and will most certainly be back. This place is paradise.

United KingdomHonestly the only issue I had was other guests hogging the WiFi. Some children were gaming online and it meant I could not connect, but after they went to bed it was OK! Buying a data / sim card at the airport is a good idea , especially if you're navigating by sat nav ( essential, as very few streets have a street sign displayed). It cost me 200 Sey rupees for 2 Gb and after a week I still had 1 Gb left.
The hotel has a very friendly vibe. It is set back from the main road, in very well kept gardens and is very quiet at night. My room had a shaded verandah, perfect for a cold beer in the warm evening air. No mosquitos either ! There was a drying rack so wet swimming costumes could dry overnight. My room had a large double bed, air con and a ceiling fan, and a fridge so I was very comfortable. Room was cleaned daily. Breakfast was a big plate of mixed fruit, then bacon, eggs ( all styles), and toast and jams. I had booked "Bed and breakfast " only, but you can request an evening meal . Just tell the waitress at breakfast time. At time of visit - Oct 2022 - the evening meal was 32 euros for 3 courses, or 22 euros for just the main course. Wine, ( a nice S. African Chardonnay ) was 30 Euros a bottle. If you have a car there are plenty of restaurants within 15 mins, on foot you only have the beach restaurant (Chez Batista) or La Reduit up the hill, so being able to eat in your Hotel is useful.
