Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).

AustraliaBreakfast. We asked a staff member at the front counter to give us a wake up call at 4 am but no one bothered which was very disappointing.
Breakfast was horrible. Location is ok as it was within walking distance to the station. Room airconditioning was too cold. NO matter how much adjusting we did it didn't work. All in all it was quite pricey!!!

Maldivesreceptionist should not have asked for full credit card details for deposit purpose. She tried to copy my credit card numbers to the hotel system. I stopped twice until I asked to call a manager to explain the violation! Credit Card details cannot be copied into any software for any reason. Ok for the request of deposit which can be finalised by the use of POS banking system.

MalaysiaParking was horrible at this hotel :( For those looking to save money, during the day you could park at the hotel parking for SGD 12 per entry (roughly 5 hours of street parking). You can park on the streets at night for free, but remember to start paying after 8.30am the next day.
I really liked that the hotel was located at a prime area, and there was a lot of food in walking distance. The hotel is more spacious than the other hotels I’ve stayed in, and I really enjoyed the space!

The location is excellent if you need to use the subway/MRT as it is located just next door to the MRT station (no need to get rained on). There are not many eateries within walking distance. However, It is walking distance to Chinatown, a bit more walking required. The reception was so kind to allow us early check in at 12pm, as they were not full that day.

United KingdomOnly minor comment is that because we arrived early and needed to freshen up, the small facilities on the ground floor aren't ideal so probably worth using the airport facilities.
The Dorsett is ideally located near Outram Park MRT station and very easy to get to/from the airport and other sites within the city. We arrived very early and completed the pre check-in and were able to leave our luggage until our room was available at 3. The hotel is within easy walking distance to Chinatown. The room was modern and spacious and had everything you needed. The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool which we used on our second day and also a small gym.

MexicoThe room was small. The original room did not have a outward facing window and needed to request a different room. When paying, the rate given by the terminal for paying in your card's currency was SIGNIFICANTLY different than the actual exchange rate. For the the cost of the room, I would not say this met my expectations for value.
The hotel was in a great location and the staff was nice. The bed was comfortable and appreciated the amenities in the bathroom. Internet speed was great in the rooms.
