The reception times make no sense. In my opinion they are just there to make you pay more. Reception is closed between 11am and 4pm. I get that people need a break but there were always two people around who could at least let people leave their luggage. Especially since they were just sitting around watching movies/videos. Which also made me go to my room cause it was really annoying. And even if you are a few minutes late they want a fee for letting you in outside of office times. Also checkout is at 10am. I asked if I could keep the key till 11am but they reclined cause of early check-in. When I asked if she could check if someone requested early check-in, she refused. Besides its not really clean. The curtain on the bed is a joke. Kitchen is dirty. Common area is dark and not really a place where you want to hang out.

Location was good and it was OK enough for the two nights I spent there.

The inn-keepers were very nice and friendly! The inn was very neat. It's very close to the Clarke Quay MRT, and at a walkable distance to a lot of tourist attractions.

As a smoker, it would have been nice to have a balcony where it was allowed but that didn't mattered much, given what I got in return from that Guesthouse

I loved the location and the facilities! My bed was comfy, the air-conditioned worked fine as well as the internet. But, for me, the highlight of the staying was the staff , especially Riitwa! She helped me a lot with how to go from Clarke Quay to the emigration point as I was going to Malaysia after, and from there, to the bus terminal. I felt really blessed to have found this place and the value of the money was very good as well. I wish I had booked this place for all the 4 nights I spent in SG!!!

Bad mattress, no window shades(there are, but don't block any light...), cleaning at the room before check out hour (cleaning been done at 8am with beds and closets being dragged without any respect with whom is sleeping and paying for it....), Very superficial cleanings and need some maintenance!

After 2 days at sleeping at the hostel I found itchy bites all over my body which were consistent with bed bugs. Upon telling this to the front desk lady, she was entirely defensive insisting how clean their place. She went as far as saying maybe the bites are from sand particles. She then ended up changing the bed sheets like she was doing me such a favour. The hostel was full so she was unable to offer another bed. Through booking I requested a refund for my last night which she rejected. ultimately, I had to pay for my own stay at another facility. I am aware that bed bugs can happen to the best of facilities but it was her approach which was entirely inappropriate and irresponsible. terrible costumer service, I would not recommend this place to anyone.

It was a sticker shock to me when I was charged a late check-in fee of 11 SGD after 8 pm despite the staff staying in the hostel with us (although they have already mentioned it via chat and email) while the room cost 33 SGD. I've stayed in many inns before in other countries, but this is a new experience. Still cheaper than many, nevertheless, but not what I expected initially.

Everything's OK for a backpacker's hostel. Unlike other places, the bathrooms are clean, and the bed is comfortable. Reasonable distance from the Somerset station (and other tourist spots). They have quite a few bars below the inn and something affordable around the area for dine-in / meals.
