Hello Hotel royal, I have not taken breakfast and the location was near to novana station. But you need to walked around 15 minutes. The stay was super and staff are very friendly and helpful.

room was well furnished with all amenities. The janitor was very cooperative and understanding. The place is very well connected with MRT station and is centrally located. Good place to stay overall! Since we're vegetarians, we did not opt for meals at this place.

Relatively low cost per day. Convenient and walking distance to novena station and slightly longer walk to newton food center. Room quite big, clean, housekeeping doing well. Bed comfortable but...

It's not walking distance from the MRT if you have bags but it's right outside the bus station. Ideally would have loved the hotel to msg or add it to their description which exit to get down on and which bus to take

A little dated condition and no services or reception lounge. Business centre closed but still listed on facilities.

Please hv bidet in the rooms...so that it is easy to clean ourselves btr.

The staff were very accomodating...I booked 2 rooms..1 room for me & 1 room for my dad & my uncle (both 80 plus years old). I ask at the staff & manager at counter if we cud hv a room connected or nearby at least & for my dad & uncle...a ground shower instead of tub...cos dangerous for old people over 80 especially to climb in & out of tub to shower...they may fall...the manager & staff managed to get 2 closeby rooms & my dad & uncle room had grounded shower & tub..cos they upgraded their room foc...very pleasant staffs & helpful & accomodating. Blessed indeed. Breakfast was ok...cud hv a omelette/pancake counter though. The chicken peanut porridge was so so yummy.

The hotel is old both outside and inside, though we knew that info in advance yet a bit surprised when check in the room. Towel is also in old color, lights in room are not so bright. Only until the last day that we got look-like-new towels.

Very good location, 10-minute walk from Velocity/Novena Square malls & Novena MRT. Bus stop just right outside hotel door. Our family room clean & is spacious compared to other budget hotel at the same price. Edequate facilities provided, air con works so well that we dont have to turn it on when sleeping. Though no water bottle at each room, there is water dispenser at each floor for self-filling (for free), thumps up for a sustainable initiative 👍 Staff are friendly & flexible to adapt to our late check-out.

They had renovations and by Sunday 31st I could hear the drilling sound as early as 9.00 am. When I called the operator she claimed that its normal, then clarified with the other guy who came back to me without apology instead fighting me back for there is no way renovation conducted on Sunday. He then clarified with the housekeeping and called me back just to said “dont have what?!” 🤦🏻‍♀️ my gosh, the attitude cant be accepted at all even for budget hotel.

The service upon arrival wasn’t well received and the staff at the counter when checking out were not professional and have a poor service attitude.

The property was clean and comfortable. The price was reasonable too. Was able to check into the room even though it wasn’t near the check in timing.

I think it is a jungle rule, cost effective means you expect to have less attractive service by the staffs too. I am disappointed only that it has to come from the operator or counter staff especially once you in and you called them for something. The cleaners in my opinion are friendly.

Honestly for Singapore, they are considered one of the spacious yet cost efficient and prime location. It has own washing machine and dryer machine (warning: may not wash and dry as your expectations, i decided do outside better). Water take from shared dispenser.

The hotel building and furniture felt old and gloomy after you enter the bedroom, their carpet looked and felt old and have been used in decades if i would guess. Air in bedroom is not circulating so there is a damp/moldy smell in the room which made me not dare to inhale deeply. The toilet shower curtain is so smelly once you enter the toilet you can smell it right away. The room has poor lighting due to yellow lightbulbs are being used than the white lightbulbs and with the distance of ceiling it needs more brighter lighting.

Room is big and spacious if compare with other Singapore hotels. Customer service is exceptional. They provided the best service, the Filipina front desk (sorry, I forgot her name) and Mr. Harry are the best ones. Including the doormen, they are courteous and helpful. I felt an amazing and comfortable experience here.

Staff where courteous but where not helpful. No tourist information at the hotel. Hotel is getting rundown and needs a bit of work done not just patch ups.

Dinner was very nice. Building is close to the train station, bus stop and close to shops.
