The bar charging to the room could be seamless, some maintanance and proper cleaning of the room (the ceiling above the wardrobe areas need to be painted, the shower head was dirty, the telephone in bathroom not clean and the wireless speaker from behind was very dirty. Welcoming was a bit off (When we arrived, we were asked to park ahead and not offered a trolley or immediate assistance even after the driver informing that we are checking-in) - Despite, the luggage arrived to the room very swiftly.

Some furniture in the lobby area could use an update, looks a bit out of date. The pool area is rather small and thus very crowded quickly.

Our room had a window overlooking the lobby. A window to the outside would have let us know the weather instantly. It was very clean and comfortable otherwise.

Staying at the beautiful, historical Fullerton Hotel was wonderful. The central location enabled us to walk to parks, museums, restaurants, and many local attractions. Coming back to use the beautiful pool with lovely views to cool off made each day special. The pool attendant, Sall, made sure we had towels and a full glass of wine. He and every employee we met were smiling, extremely courteous, and offering to help before we even asked. The maître d was especially nice. He even took the time to tell us how to eat the local specialty, Hainanese chicken rice, to get the best taste. It was yum! Eating at the Fullerton is a treat. The delicious pastries and cakes are works of art, but Champagne helps with the guilt. Make sure to walk completely around both levels before trying the breakfast buffet. In addition to the usual American choices, there were tables of Asian and Indian dishes, mussels, fruits, cheeses, breads and pastries. Impossible to try everything! The hotel is lovely. Oversized flower arrangements grace the lobby. The grand staircase leads to the coi pond. There’s even a charming Post Office on the lower level. We enjoyed our stay so much! Thank you to all the gracious staff who made it so.

The reception area is tucked away in the rear of the entrance hall, and the check-in process could be significantly improved for a smoother and faster experience. There were issues with the pin machine, and the absence of welcome drinks, which one would typically expect at a 5-star hotel, was disappointing. Additionally, the swimming pool did not meet expectations for a hotel of this caliber; it could certainly be improved. The prices for cocktails at the bar were excessively high.

The swimming pool has a good view but the water quality is not that good. There are lots of small impurities and bits in the water. I expect a much cleaner water for a hotel of this standard. I requested twice for more teabags from the QR Code/digital concierge but no response. A bit disappointing.

Staff services are exceptional, polite and comfortable. Special praise to Amos at Front Desk who serves with a smile and courtesy.
