We were greeted by a very friendly lady. The guesthouse is in the middle of the center next to a small café. The furniture is old fashioned.

It was an attic room and I kept bumping my head on the ceiling. The room was a bit cramped. When I booked the room I did not understand that it was an attic room or I would have booked a different one.

All the facilities of the room were provided including kitchen equipment. The bedroom was comfortable. There was secure storage for our bicycles. There was an air conditioner in the apartment.

There is a spiral staircase up to the attic/upstairs bedrooms and for some people this could be a challenge.

We loved staying at the Koren - the location is superb and our hosts were very kind and helpful. It is in the center of Vipava and right next door to a great little cafe where we enjoyed gelato, cold beers, and coffee. We also tasted - and bought - some delicious wines from Wipach (the same family that operates the guesthouse).

Excellent location, central in town. Really nice building with quiet courtyard and traditional rooms. Lovely host, very welcoming and friendly. On arrival we were greeted with homemade liqueurs and schnapps. Breakfast is available at an additional cost of €10, we did not have this but enjoyed coffee with the owner on check out. We also did the wine tasting at the family shop at the front of the property. We couldn't believe this was at no additional cost, the wines were lovely and we bought a couple of bottles to take home!

Great location with a very friendly and accommodting host who gave us all a drink when we arrived, and an absolutely superb breakfast in the morning. Also really helpful in helping us sort out things like bike hire, taxis, and giving local information. Couldn't have been better, highly recommended!

Nothing at all.

The hosts are wonderful - welcoming, helpful and lovely people. The apartment and hotel is beautifully and traditionally decorated. It’s centrally based, it’s quiet at night, you can do walks all around the area. There’s a lovely balcony you can sit and relax in. The beds - including the sofa bed - were very comfortable too! Perfect.

Nothing could have been better. Really. For such a small town there was a lot to do - if you like wine :).

The accommodations were spectacular and Nevenka is an amazing host. She did everything she could to make sure we were comfortable. We got the breakfast with her too and it was delicious and huge. The place was spotless and was super spacious and the location could not have been better. Right in the center of town. There was a party in the square in front and we didn’t even hear it at all when we were in our room. The town is cute and we biked around to see the vineyards.

Our stay at guesthouse Koren was more than amazing. We were welcomed by the son, David, with a nice local schnaps on the beautiful terrace and immediately felt at home. The whole family is super friendly. Our room was very big, clean and cool! The breakfast prepared by the cute mom was wonderful and the perfect start for a day in the amazing surroundings of Vipava. We would definitely recommend to do a wine tasting of their own wines (Wipach wine estate)! We had an amazing evening with the winemaker and his wife.
