I wish we could have stayed more than 4 nights :(

We fell in love with nature and the scenery of stunning Slovenia, but yet the place we loved the most and would like to return again and again is Frida's Old House.  This lovely family hosted us warmly with treats, a free wine cellar, explanations about the area, the place, the family and the Slovenian people in general.  We are a couple and stayed at Frida's Old House for 4 nights and were very sad to leave. The room was equipped with everything we needed, we cooked meals there with no problem at all.  The house is located in a charming village with a waterfall a short walk away, a 5 minute drive to the city of Bled and you can also use a walking path straight to Lake Bled (which you should walk around anyway).  We highly recommend it.

The worst part was, that we had to leave.

Everything was exceptional! The hosts were extremely friendly, waiting for us with coffee and home made cake. During our stay, they made us feel like we are home, and always watching our wishes. While we were sitting outside during the evening, they brought us blankets and candle, to make us feel more comfortable. They were suggesting us where to go and which places to visit. The small, and lovely gestures made our stay memorable. The room itself was fully renovated, it had more than we needed. The location is amazing, quiet and breathtaking place. We already know, that we will come back as soon as possible.

Amazing place, owners are very friendly, amenities are excellent. Apartment is well equipped, clean and newly furbished. There is a possibility to drink vine and coffee at the houses' own vine cellar for which payment is based on an honor system which is really cool and friendly. Would highly recommend.

Clean and tiny apartment, well equipped with dishwasher, salt/pepper/oil, Netflix TV, free parking in front of the house. Calm escape from the tourist spots but close enough to visit them though :). Very friendly and helpful owners, thank you Luka and family for the welcome drinks and snack, the lovely wine and coffee cave and helpful recommendations for road bike tours in the area!

The hosts of the place put so much love into this location and the general experience you get there, and you can really feel it. We felt right at home, being greeted with wine and a local dessert. The rooms are spacious and it’s honestly one of the best hotel beds I’ve ever slept in. It’s a bit removed from lake Bled (5 min by car, 40 min by foot) but we were glad to not be in the crowds. 10/10 can only recommend.

We were so fortunate to find this place. Loved everything about it and especially George and his sweet wife who took great care of us. Old world charm with very new and modern facilities in our adorable studio. We were greeted with wine in the cellar and a tray of yummy dessert. Lanterns and candles welcomed our late arrival. So many details were thoughtfully considered even down to the cozy slippers and blankets for sipping coffee on our balcony. George even climbed his ladder to fill a bowl of grapes for us to enjoy. We extend our stay another evening and wish we could have stayed longer. George is the best concierge and speaks very good English. This special place way exceeded our expectations! I would give them a 100 star rating!

The hosts were very nice and gave us lots of helpful tips to explore the area. Very nice and clean room, with a lovely terrace. The wine cellar is super cosy! All in all a perfect place to stay to discover Bled, Bohinj, Triglav national park and so much more!

Everyrhing was Just Perfect !

It was a fantastic time at Frida's. We wanted to stay 3 days and change place, but after few minutes there we were sure that we stay few more days. The incredible hospitality and naturalness of Jura, Maja and Luka made us feel wonderful and like family members there. The place is beautiful, full of history and very charming. The possibility to use the wine cellar, the wine and candlelight evenings, the electric bikes, the stories about the village, the family and Slovenia made us a beautiful, unforgettable vacation. The flat has everything you need to feel at home. For me the highlight was watching the sunrise from behind surrouning mountains every single day, what a show! From the village and the area around Lake Bled it is close to the mountains, the lakes, the capital and all the other attractions you can think of. Once again, Jure, Maja, Luka - thank you from the bottom of our hearts and hope to see u again very soon 💚

There was nothing that could have been improved.

I was recommended Frida's Old House by a colleague. The hosts, Luka and his parents, went above and beyond from the minute we arrived. On check-in, we were greeted with a glass of local wine and traditional Slovenian cake homemade by Luka's mother. The room itself was very well thought-out, with everything we could possibly need. It was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The hosts were extremely helpful with local recommendations. We didn't have a car and found it easy to get around using the free shuttle bus. We also hired e-bikes from the hosts which were fantastic. Thank you so much. I would recommend this property to anyone going to Lake Bled.

Frida´s Old house is absolutely lovely place to stay. The owner welcomed us with his parents by traditional desert and liquor, told us about history of this house and gave us many tips for places to visit nearby. The room itself is equipped with literally everything that you need for your comfortable stay and it´s furnished in a village, but modern style with a stunning mountain view. Iť s 100% clean and organized. There is a wine cellar where you can taste 4 kinds of local wine and make yourself a coffee 24/7. You can also find some refreshment in the fridge - apple juice, milk, beer, liquor and cookies (all for free). There is a small market in 5 mins walking distance and you can reach a lake of Bled in about 10-15 mins (depends on a traffic) by car or there is a free bus going several times a day. I definitely recommend Frida´s house and I´m sure I will come back again once :) Big thx for all the care to Luka and his family :)

Fantastic and authentic/historic place with modern facilities, super kind personel, small river running next door, lovely sits for coffee/wine outside, e-bike renting possibilities for exploring bled and surroundings easily (preventing traffic jams in summer) or a 40 min walk to lake bled.

we loved everything

The hosts were absolutely amazing. They did a wonderful job of looking after us from greeting us with wine and cake, telling us about the area and leaving goodies in the apartment. They even dried our shoes. We cannot speak highly enough about Luka and his parents. The apartment was very comfortable and the location was perfect for visiting Lake Bled.

Can't recommend a stay at Frida's Old House highly enough! On check in we were met by Luka and his parents, who gave us a warm welcome and plenty of ideas for things to do while in the area. They had also made some blejska grmada for us, which is a traditional dessert from the Bled area, and while it's not as well known as the Bled cake we thought it was much nicer! The guesthouse is modern, warm and tidy with a functional kitchenette. Recommend having a car if staying there, it's a few minutes drive to Bled or 30 min to Bohinj. Overall a fantastic place to stay with wonderful hosts!

I loved the stay and the hosts were so nice, and helpful that I can't even imagine. We reached their around 11:30 PM and they were waiting for us and offered the drink and so delicious traditional sweet. I love to go their again.
