How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

There was nothing we did not like. In the kitchen we had a chance to cook for ourselves. It is close to Tivoli park and city center, and to a supermarket.
We stayed there two nights. Last day, because our flight was in the evening, we checked out and they gave us an opportunity to leave our luggage in the locker. Also, that day it was raining heeavily. when we came to pick up our luggage we were very wet and needed to change our clothes and wait for our taxi to pick us up to the airport about three hours. Rok, the owner, gave us another room to rest and change without charging anything. The favor he did was priceless. Thanks a lot again.

It's noisy due to the main road. In summer, sleeping can be challenging because of this noise. I understand this is beyond the host's control.
It was clean and had everything we needed. Big Thanks to the hosts! All same like in the picture.

Good location, 15 min walk into the centre through Tivoli park. Room was great with a lovely balcony, fridge in room helped too. Bed was massive and very comfortable. Nice and quiet so able to enjoy a lie in after long days of sightseeing

Clean, spacious appartment with 2 bedrooms and large living room with the kitchen. Free parking in front of the house. Near to the centre. Very well equiped appartment. Kids enjoyed very much.

Just the blue scruffy look of the outside of the building.
The inside of the room was very modern and beautiful. Arriving there the outside of the building let one doubt about your decision for booking there, but the moment ypu enter your room you realize it was worth while.

The location is okay, but still take you 25minutes walk to the center (Prešeren square).
The room is very nice, new and clean. Also the shared kitchen have everything you need to prepare some food. Stuff was kind and helpful.

Since there’s no room service/housekeeping, the room should have more extra towels

Our full size SUV was too big for Europe so I was nervous to park everywhere. Next time I’ll know to rent a smaller vehicle
The bed was comfortable. There was a person ( maybe manager or maintenance ) I spoke no Slovene and he spoke no English. However he was very helpful he showed us how to lock the door, found the key for us and helped us park. It was great.

You can hear the neighbors talking, the upper neighbor sang the whole night so if you are a really bad sleeper you may find hard sleeping here, but I had no problem with that.
It was cozy, nice, great location, they even gave us tea. Super clean, very walm welcoming.

There was nothing I didn’t like.
The room was very clean and comfortable, the host was friendly polite and helpful, told us what to see in the city and it’s important attractions, it has a great location and would definitely recommend it.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable and it was around 15min walking distance to the city center. We appreciated also free parking. There is also small shared kitchen so you can prepare quick food if you want to.

The pillows are kind of flat, other than that the room is comfortable.
It has private parking and it's easy to check-in and check out. It's like a complex and there are tables in front for hanging out or smoking. It's a 15-20 minute walk to the center. The host is accomodating.

The major road where it is located but our room did not have any windows towards the front anyway.
It was a very homely and clean place where the owners clearly showed a lot of attention for detail.

The only thing that I would consider bad would be that the building was old.
We were very pleased with our stay at the apartment. First of all the location is very convenient since it's 25 minutes from the center by foot. The room had a good size and it was comfortable. We were also pleased with the bathroom and it always had warm water. The room looked clean.

The sound of the street could potentially bother some people, but it didn't bother me and I slept well.
OH Apartments are excellent for a short stay. They offer free parking, and the room I stayed in was huge, clean, and equipped with all possible amenities for a comfortable stay. There is a terrace with a shared kitchen next to it, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. I had a good night's sleep, thanks to the blackout curtains and comfortable room temperature. The owners provide a great guide for getting around. Communication before arrival was quick and efficient. It's a pleasant 20-minute walk from the city center. There is a store on the ground floor that is open on Sundays and holidays.

The valve handle on the radiator in the kitchen could not be turned off so it made the room too warm.
