“The Slobi is located about 3 km off the center of Sturovo, next to a fairly large industrial plant from the socialist period; during those times the Slobi was evidently the associated guest house to accommodate visiting functionaries and engineers. It has since been renewed somewhat but (in fair accordance with the price of 30 Euro for a single room) the basic, frugal-yet-sufficient setup (reminiscent of a youth-hostel) has remained. For example, two separate rooms share one bathroom, although my neighbour room was not inhabitated (perhaps this is a general policy). The room and bathroom were clean, and the location silent. The Slobi is situated relatively close (about 2 km) to the Sturovo train station.”
“I liked the cleanliness of the rooms and the very nice lady at the reception who was helpful. We came with two bicycles which we were able to securely store in the building. The building might look old on the outside, but the inside was nicely renovated. It was very spacious.”
