Hotel Devin is a retro slice of Soviet era architecture that genuinely feels like stepping back in time. The public areas have a formal but very comfortable feel. This follows through to the bedrooms. Simple, classic, and oh, so 50s. Loved it. I found the bed very comfortable, and the room was equipped with all the amenities you would expect. I also had a great river view, which was unexpected for the price I paid. I didn't use the restaurant, or the spa (I'm not that flush), but I couldn't miss a visit to Cafe Devin, which I understand is a nostalgic institution in Bratislava. It is a treat... absolutely gorgeous. The bar area, too, looked inviting...dark wood and upholstered armchair heaven. There are plenty of large chain hotels along the river, also in a good central position for visiting the city that are super bright and appealing. However, Hotel Devin offers an intriguing dip into recent-ish history that is often lost and played down across the former 'eastern bloc'. Hotel Devin is a gem of a place. I am so glad it has been preserved, and it is obviously cherished.

The room had all windows overlooking a balcony with an access from the hallway. For me as a solo female traveller it was an uncomfortable feeling, I had to keep my curtains closed at all times. The room was very small.

The proximity to the harbour on the one hand and to the historic city centre on the other is very convenient. The spa in the hotel is great, I ordered a massage and it was very good followed by a relaxing sauna and a pool.

Hotel Devin is a very beautiful hotel! It is so close to the old town square that it makes walking around it easy even if its cold or raining. The staff is very kind. I loved their breakfast as well, it had tons of options. And the bar in the hotel was also very nice to get a drink in.

The hotel was excellent. Location is pretty good for exploring the city. Staff is really nice and support in all requests. Rooms were cleaned daily. Great breakfast with plenty of options to choose. Quiet room, comfortable bed. Verry satisfied!

Even though the hotel rooms are non-smoking and didn't smell, you can smell smoke in the lobby from the smoking section in the bar. Having to pay for bottled water was slightly annoying. There is shampoo and body wash, but no conditioner.

Great location, especially if you're taking the bus to / from Vienna Airport or if you're taking the ferry to Vienna. Perfectly placed. The 1950s hotel decor is wonderfully preserved - feels like you've stepped back into the 1950s! Beds were king sized and comfortable.

It was too hot in my room, windows didn’t open properly and outsude was very noisy. Setting AC to fan would solve the problem but it couldn’t be done.

Great location o the hotel, in the area of the center of the city, very close to the main squares, main street, a lot of shops, restaurants and bars. Food stores also in a short walking distance from the hotel. Breakfast was excellent, very rich, fresh and well cooked dishes and products, great variety of things to eat. Room was spacious, very clean, quiet, comfortable.

The bed was quite hard and uncomfortable.

The hotel is located across the road from where the Vienna-Bratislava ferry docks so it was quick and easy to get to the hotel. The ambience of the hotel is lovely. The breakfast was extensive with lots of variety to choose from. The room curtains provided good light block out.
