How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Check-in time was too late for me. 17.00 check-in, 10.00 check out. There was a big time difference
Overall I was satisfied. Very large and spacious room, free coffee, clean and sweet place. Refrigerator in the room.

Only missing things would be a kettle in the room and maybe a shampoo for the showers.
I stayed here for one night and it was great to get the keys with just the code. Everything is designed to be practical The location was great for me as i’ve visited Bratislava for work purposes. Bed was comfortable enough for a short stay.

A bit noisy, but they expected it
My parents stayed in this hotel for 1 night before their flight from Vienna. It perfectly served the purpose. The room was spacious and clean. Friendly staff. Bathrooms in the hallway were clean.

I good to have one mirror inside the room. Its really very hard every time going to bathroom for the mirror.
Loved the room. Its feel worth for the money and bathroom is too clean. Its big room for 2 people, very comfort and they allowed us to check in soon like before 3 hours..

Location looked a bit dodgy - in a carpark? No toilet roll for 3 day stay. The man was obsessed with No Smoking - we didn't and scratching the sink - i was just rinsing 2 cups!! He went on and on and in - in Hungarian....
The trolley bus stopped on the corner. The room was a decent size.

The apartment's check-in methodology overshadows everything good. You dont have any reception in the hotel, you are outside, the hostel's door is closed and you have to wait, in theory they will send you a code at 5pm [when all accommodations check in are at 3:00 p.m.] the problem was when we did not receive the code at 5pm, neither at 5.15 pm, and finally when we thought they had forgooten our reservation we did the checking at 5.30 pm. That is not a good feeling if it happen in a country that is not yours.

The accommodation is to say the least very minimal. The cleanliness could be improved, the pillows that we got had a bad smell, and the floor felt quite dirty. Luckily, the provided towels was used as pillow covers. In the morning there were people standing in the corridor, very close to our door, and spoke very loudly, so don't expect a perfect sleep.
The reason why we booked this place was that you can self check-in after midnight, it's relatively close to to the main bus terminal, and it's located next to a restaurant that we brunched at after the check-out the following morning. Also the price for one night is reasonable and the instructions how to enter is pretty easy to follow.

Slightly far from the city centre, but easily accessible by bus/tram with a 15+ minute journey.
Amazing value for money, very clean and good facilities. Even had an extra pair of slippers for me and my girlfriend who stayed for the night. No staff to be seen, however all the instructions sent over text/email were thorough and simple to understand. Especially impressed by the fact that the (exceptionally clean) public bathrooms came with a key for women, meaning that women can lock the door to the bathroom/stalls at any time for their safety. The room even had a sofa, as well as a wardrobe and plates/cutlery on the table and coffee/microwave in the hall.
