How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

One day we came to breakfast at 9:10 (originally from 7:00 till 10:00) and there was mightily something to eat. Everybody just cleaned and served the tables.
Perfect hotel for the family with kids. Kid playroom, cinema, small swimming pool, outside playground, animal court with contact zoo. Close to the Vysoke Tatry. Very tasty breakfast and dinner, lounge bar with Black Saris ;)

The toilet and bathroom in separate rooms; toilet without a washbasin.
Location; staff politeness. Value for the money. Sledge to check out. Very hot finish sauna.

The capacity of the indoor swimming pool is not sufficient if the hotel is fully occupied and hotel staff in the bar was not enthusiastic

Some places, mainly the outside, the facility requires cosmetic refreshment.
Classic, tasty continental breakfast and dinners with elements of Slovakian cuisine. A family stay is diversified by a cinema room for children, a kids' club located near to Lobby bar :-) swimming pool, jacuzzi, saunas, an outdoor heated swimming pool, and a hotel mini zoo. Great location, at the foot of the Slovak High Tatras, a few minutes by car to Starý Smokovec.

more possibilities/fix dates would be needed for visiting the animals, sometimes there are "run down conditions" in the pool-spa area (2 broken windows where the water has already changed into green color within the glasses, the concrete pillar does not have any tiles and being shade with a plant. What disturbed and made me disappointed: the staff and the whole area of the south Tatras (museums, churches, castles etc suffer from language problems (except of doctor at medical surgency at Porad what we had to visit - because our little boy has hit his head) and this is different compared to Zakopane area where german or englisch guidence must be standard, propably therefore because the guest are mostly from SK and CZ. The hotel stands 5 km from Gerlachkov and from the next village so car is deffinitly needed for commuting for public transport.
excelent kitchen they realy know how should the catering be managed properly, the room had beutifull outview for Poprad and middle Tatras, and we did not have problem with the parking palces where the Gerlachkov"s peak was in front of us. Booking.com has wrong information about the baby bed, the hotel proveided for us costfree. What we like very much, that the hotel has lot of opportunities for children entertaiment - sometimes this is more as it needed :-) (bubble labirint, bouncy castle, minigolf, super playground room), the owner has an own zoo at the hotel's area, this was loved by our children in addition each evening animator makes the show for the children, clean and good smell everywhere, the staffs are kind and helpfull,

The room could be a bit cleaner. The facilities although well maintained show their age.
The swimming pools were great. Nice surroundings. Good for kids. Convenient dinner included.

Facilities require renovation: the pool, saunas, rooms. Food selection was quite limited and not always there was something to grab unless you are a fan of local cuisine.
The location is absolutely perfect - next to small contact zoo and national park. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

No kettle in the room No room service Uncomfortable beds pillows/ replaced on request No shower screen/ curtain in the bath Sink in the bathroom very high for kids to reach ( my are 6y.+4y) No fresh milk/ or vegetarian/ vegan options They use “long life “ carton milk at breakfast bar!! Unprofessional staff at the reception. The tennis courts, volleyball and mini golf area neglected .
