Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

DenmarkThe hotel was in the outskirts of the city, right next to the highway. But there's a bus going to the city every 15 minutes or so. We could only pay cash in the humble reception and had to work back a kilometer to an ATM The bathroom hadn't been cleaned from the visitor before.
Overall it was fine for the price. It was pretty cheap and the room was alright, so if you don't have high expectations, it's quite fine.

Bosnia and HerzegovinaStay away from this “hotel”. Worst experience I ever had in my life. No one speaks English, no one is ever on reception, no one answers the phone and those are good things. Smell throughout hotel is unbearable, I can’t even describe it, rooms are dirty, cleaned who knows when. Dead bugs, hair and dust is all over the place. Inhuman conditions to say at least….for your own sake avoid this as much as you can!!!

I don't like the System of entrance for example, the main doors were closed. I couldn't enter the building to ask about any issues without entrance Code. Secondly, I booked and paid money by booking application,but they didn't give the key and they didn't let me doing check in.

Czech RepublicSo we came 30 minutes before check in closing, nobody was at reception, we tried to call, nobody answering. Nice man in an Asian restaurant in the hotel tried calling them couple times, nobody answered, nobody came. Waiting 15 minutes, we left to book another hotel. The little we saw from the hotel, it is in a dodgy location, lots of dodgy people around, it looked dirty, old and we were happy to leave.

United KingdomFor check in I would give -1, code I got through booking.com didn't work, so I couldn't get key, non in reception, phone nr on the door for reception didn't answer, smell in hotel was terrible. Room I choose was with a double bed, but instead I had two single bed. No either hand soap in the toilet to wash hands.

United KingdomThis was probably the worst hotel i’ve ever stayed in. Blood stained sheets and light switch. Box tv with a phone that wasn’t even plugged in to anything. Wouldn’t be surprised if there was cameras watching you in your room. We arrived at night and the doors were locked. There was people singing karaoke very loud in the bar. The guy that got us at reception was definitely either drunk or on something. Our room was at the front of the hotel and it felt like we were on the motorway it was so loud. We had to close the window it was so bad and you could hear the trains. We literally stayed about 5 hours and got out as quick as we could the next morning. Dodgiest hotel ever, I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay here.
