How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Unless you take your shower very early in the morning, you won't enjoy it as the water pressure tend to be very low for the rest of the day until the overhead tank is filled again.
Staying was like having a new family. They made sure my feeling of being away from home for the long period I stayed there was well compensated. I won't forget the mango time. 🤣

Great location for the airport. Host Uday was fantastic and could not have done more to make you feel at home. 24 hour food service available- great food too.

I would have liked more of a breakfast, because I need to eat a good breakfast before I leave home so I was hungry most of day till I got home

Very conveniently located directly at the airport. Rooms are spacious with comfortable beds, a/c and WiFi, bathrooms are not ensuite but just next door and reserved for the guest(s) per room. The fittings may not match European standards but everything is clean and serves its purpose. The highlight at Yogi's is the warm-hearted hospitality..!! Uday, his family and their staff are very caring, supportive and reliable. Uday will arrange airport transfer, pick-up service, ferry tickets, money change etc. so that every desire is fulfilled with pleasure, no matter what time of day or night. Breakfast is good and served as you like at any time by Elizabeth. Lunch/dinner available on request. After all, you feel as if you're part of the family. Thank you!

No mosquito bednet, on other hand airco was perfect with 24/7 power supply. Matras could have been a little stronger.
Very close to airport with service to collect or bring to airport included! Thanks for the arrangement!!

The sound of the generator in some rooms.
The owners are wonderfull persons. I will come back there because they are like that. Rooms are cleans, and you have all services.

Nothing really.
Fantastic host and everything well taken care off. Transport to airport, breakfast nice and room and bed, shower excellent. Super clean. We had a lot of fun with the host and his family. Dancing, laughing and My stomach was hurting the day after from all the stories Uday told us. If in Freetown, we would come back for sure.

close to current Lungi airport and in the near future just opposite the new airport building. I was picked up in the middle of the night by the host and his driver. staff is super friendly and very helpful. rooms are clean and sufficient. hot water and a/c available. would recommend for a first night in Lungi if onward travel to Freetown is not preferred during the night. good luck to Sam and his staff for this location!

One of my more memorable stays. Arriving at 03.30 after a long journey I was greeted by Sam and Sam senior, a really warm welcome that made me feel that I was arriving home. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner. If I can be honest, a couple of negatives, the mattress bowed in the middle and there wasn't much water pressure but this is Africa but it definitely didn't detract from my stay. It's guaranteed that I'll be staying again. Thank you Sam.

There were a lot of noises that woke us during the night, the bathroom smelt, and the restaurant prices were the most expensive we have paid in Sierra Leone in 2 weeks.
The family are friendly and make you feel very welcome in their home. You have a room in a home with your own bathroom. It's super close to the airport.

Nothing springs to mind.
Perfect location for staying on arrival or before departure if your flights are at antisocial hours. Owner is very friendly and hospitable and does everything he can to help, including sending a car (additional charge) and guard to meet you at the airport. Hotel is clean and comfortable, with good bathrooms, good water pressure and working air conditioning (three things not always found in Freetown...). Highly recommended.

An amazing stay with wonderful hosts! I felt so comfortable and at home throughout. They were very helpful and the location is perfect as I had an early morning flight. Highly highly recommend and the food was superb!

Great stay. Friendly and helpful. Clean room, comfy bed and air conditioning. A true luxury. Shower was hot with great water pressure. We also ate there and the food was delicious - just what we needed. Overall extremely happy and would definitely stay again. Very convenient for the airport (our flight was cancelled so we needed an extra overnight stay), so obviously a good place to stay the might before your flight, but if we had known about Yogi before arriving in Sierra Leone we would have booked our first night there - would have been a lot less stressful that sorting out the ferry from the airport to Freetown (the drive the long way round takes forever).

Incredibly nice and caring family. Very helpful with everything. Just a few minutes drive from the airport which is great as I arrived at 2 am! Hot water. Air conditioner. Strong wifi. Staying here my first night helped me figure things out (local ferry) before I heading to Freetown. Very relaxing place. Highly recommend !!!
