Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BulgariaSmall clean room. Welcomg staff. Not perfect location for travellers without a car. There is a bus stop near the hotel but the bus runs only a couple of times during the day.

AustraliaThis isn’t about the property but pedestrian access if planning to walk to Monte Titano isn’t great. The first kilometre or so you will be mostly walking along the side of the road.
Very comfortable bed and amazing restaurant. Hotel and restaurant staff were all great. Nice and quiet in the rooms. Good view of Monte Titano.

AustraliaThe hotel was a bit of a distance from the centre and there were no sidewalks to walk there (Thats obviously bot the hotel’s fault.) The breakfast wasn’t worth the 5€/person we spent on it. The bad was quite hard and and hairdryer smelled like it was burning.
The room was nice and clean, the staff was very nice and helpful. The restaurant downstairs was nice and had good priced wine ( half litre of wine for 7€)

SlovakiaIt is certainly not soundproof. When i had 'neighbors' i could hear their every word (just normal volume of speaking), the walls are paper thin. Even with earbuds... What else to say.. i notice this often with hotels that they claim there is soundproofing but it is usually far from reality and sleep gets broken. As far as outside is concerned, there's the loud main road right outside, so you can hear that hum always but that's expected. The window in my room could use some tightening or replacing, because even when closed, a little wind (and sound of the highway) could get in.
I liked the view a lot. I also enjoyed that there was a fridge in my room even though i discovered it by accident - it was inside the table. Essential! The staff (receptionist) was very nice and helpful.

United KingdomA very minor point, but it would have been better if there was some instruction as to how the window shutters worked, for those of us who don't have them in our country. It took a bot of trial and error to work out how to lower them once they were raised! Other than that, this hotel was great. Nothing to do with the hotel, but if like me, you didn't have a car in San Marino, it was a little difficult to get around. There is public transport but it doesn't run regularly and finishes quite early in the evening. I stayed in this location because it was in between the two things I wanted to do in San Marino, which was visit the Citta and go to the football. If I'd have had a car, it would have been a perfect choice. As it was, it was just that little further from either than was ideal. So I would recommend to people if they want to go to the football and don't have a car, then stay in Serravalle or Dogana. If you don't have a car and want to go to the Citta, then stay closer to the Citta itself or Borgo Maggiore.
The rooms were a little on the small side, which as I was alone, was no problem but for 2 or 3 people might be. The room was clean, had a fridge and had stunning views of the coast. The staff were all friendly, helpful, and for the times my Italian wasn't good enough, could speak English. The breakfast was nice and had a large selection to choose from. If you are catching the bus to this hotel from Rimini, the nearest stop is Domagnano Croce, which is about 50m away from the hotel. To get the bus the opposite way involves crossing the busy two-lane motorway

RomaniaThere are no stores around the hotel, so bring food/water/anything necessary with you. It can get noisy, in the evening and in the morning.
Everything was great, the hotel is located at the Domagnago (Croce) bus stop, so it's just 3 bus stops away from the historical center. If you want to arrive from Rimini directly to the hotel, just get off at Domagnano, not the last bus stop.

Clean and comfortable hotel, no problem with air conditioning (we were here in the middle of summer). Girl at reception was very nice and helpful, what's important she speaks English (unlike most of San Marino and Italy). Tasty and nutritious breakfast, there are not only cakes but also cheese, eggs, bread, rolls etc. Location quite close to Monte Titano, convenient connection.
