We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

AngolaThe hotel is a bit tired. The bathrooms and furnishings are clean but older and bit worn. The grounds are a good size and the pool is large, but also a bit tired, and the lawn furniture is old and a bit moldy. I think the downturn in tourism hit them hard. It's a nice place that could use some refurbishing.
The location is great on the side of the town, you can walk to restaurants and markets easily. There is a rental car company on the side of the hotel that is very convenient. The front desk staff are very kind and helpful. The room was a good size. The central garden and pool are a good size and surrounded by mature trees and lots of birds. It's a nice space that the rooms overlook. We could walk directly out to the pool from the room.

United KingdomMy experience at the Pestana Hotel was quite good. However, the main point is that the pool was dirty. So, I couldn't use it and travelled to the other Pestana hotel(5 stars ) to use the other swimming pool. On a few occasions, other customers were noisy around 12 am and 6-7 am. So, I couldn't sleep due to people laughing and running stairs. There were two incidents with the manager who runs the place. The first one, I was at the restaurant waiting to pay when the manager approached the cashier and started discussing the work matters. The same manager who saw me waiting to complete the payment transaction a few times said good afternoon only to the white customers. I perceived this on the following day. I am sure that it is not the Pestana policy to treat white customers better than others. Finally, I asked the staff to extend my days at the hotel, but there was a miscommunication between staff regarding prices. I asked to speak to the manager and was Told he was off due to being a bank holiday.
The most remarkable thing about The hotel was the receptionists (Vania, Jerseley and Isaias). They were very professional, friendly and supportive. I wish I could remember the names of all the staff who worked at the restaurant throughout the week. They handle well a few rude customers. They always remained calm and respected them. I think you should place a notice board at your hotel stating that you won’t tolerate racism or any discrimination against your staff.

GermanyNice hotel not far from the sea. I particularly remember the great atmosphere and the friendliness of the ambitious staff. Breakfast was fine, freshly prepared egg variations and fresh fruit. Very helpful: the free late check-out on the last day. I was a guest for a week and really enjoyed my time. Thanks for all. And greetings from Germany.

SwitzerlandMiramar is a hotel with an intersting history, where dignitaries and international consultants stayed. The hotel rooms have since been renovated and are well kept, clean, comfortable with new AC, modern bathrooms and TV. The staff are professional, kind and helpful. The hotel building is beautiful, the garden is large och has a very large pool and plants and flowers. The hotel is beautifully situated by the water in a calm area of the city. The breakfast is tasty with fresh fruit and homemade pastries.

The staff very friendly and commented that I wanted to speak with the director that afternoon or in the morning. He didn't show up and I couldn't talk to him and at reception they only apologized, but the payment for a room of that price does not correspond to the services, but they did charge

United KingdomRoom are not as advertised; we looked at several rooms to see if there was any as advertised in the photos - there were none. Rooms were small, tired and did not have the facilities they claimed. Restaurant offered no gluten-free options.
Hotel staff really tried to be helpful and changed our hotel the following day at no extra cost.

GermanyThe fact that the hotel reopened only a few days prior to my visit likely had an influence on the quality of my stay and on my rating. - No response to my request for pick up at the airport. - Hot water in bathroom not working. - Internet not working in the room. - Staff at front desk fairly unexperienced. - Payment by credit card not possible.
The central location is certainly a plus. The manager did everything in his power to take care of the problems mentioned in the 'What didn't you like' section.
