Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesAs mentioned in other reviews, the rooms are a little loud. But staff generously offered earplugs for travelers sensitive to noise.
Great location right by the town square. Amenities and rooms are super modern. Hotel is impeccably clean. The rooftop bar is lovely, great view. Amazing service from all the staff. WiFi worked well. Contrary to listing here, hotel does have parking very near to the premises. Felt very secure. Definitely recommend.

El SalvadorIt’s on a busy street be prepared to wake up early.
Very nice small hotel. Super clean. Really liked that we could hang out in the nice rooftop and enjoy some good wine and music. Staff was great. Oscar one of the servers at the rooftop cafe went above and beyond and was very knowledgeable pointing out and recommending things to do and visit in the village and nearby towns. We will definately recommend and come back.

United StatesIt's impossible to sleep. We were there for 2 nights and the noise was unbearable. There is loud music playing and people talking very loud on one side of the hotel until the very early hours of the morning. The other side of the hotel has a construction company that starts very early and you hear the trucks backing up. The front of the hotel has the bus stop and again, you hear the horns and people yelling very early in the morning. Do not stay hear if you want a good nights sleep.
It was a nice clear hotel with comfortable beds. The breakfast on the rooftop was very enjoyable.

United StatesBreakfast was horrible even though it was included with price. The 2 small buns were hard. The scrambled eggs weren’t thoroughly cooked. Coffee was bitter More variety should be offered. I still had to buy breakfast this day at a restaurant. I passed on the free breakfast the following morning.
The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Walkable to bus station and bus stops to get to other cities.

AustraliaOn my first morning, I was simply ignored for ages at breakfast. Again, regarding design, the complimentary breakfast items are written in small (less than eight-point?) pale yellow print on a laminated, reflective white A4 card and are impossible to read. Equally annoyingly, the menu card seem to be encouraging guests to purchase additional items -all written in larger, legible black print - rather than simply having the basic, very ordinary, 'free' breakfast. The main issue, though, are two significant noise issues. First, apart from my final hour, inane music is played at mega-volumes on all levels of the property. Not only that, but different music is played, such that walking down the stairwell, one is assaulted by two waves of discordant music at ear-splitting volume. Second, although it is convenient to have the hotel so close to the public transport 'terminal', this also meant that the repetitive horn from one of the service providers began as early as 3.50 am on both mornings.
If my overall stay was based on my final hour or so, then this review and rating would be far more positive. In that window of time, I enjoyed the views from the top floor balcony/restaurant in peaceful surroundings, enjoyed a breakfast that was better prepared than the previous day (and with an additional item), and received friendly professional service. My initial impressions were also quite positive, as there are a number of design features. The one that definitely works is the individual balconies with an outdoor chair, and attractive foliage meaning that the room gets some light through the sliding door and the vibe from the street below, but equally gets complete privacy. Other design quirks in the hotel are less successful. For example, the reading lights are very large 'naked' bulbs on cords suspended from the ceiling and sitting only centimetres from the wall. Attractive: yes; practical: no. The screw operating mechanism is very temperamental, so they are useful if needed during the night, fumbling around in the dark. Furthermore, they are a safety risk: it would be easy to knock them into the wall, casting glass splinters everywhere. Similarly, instead of breakfast vouchers or a simple register of names for entitlement to breakfast, on check-in the hotel seeks to tag guests with an armband to be worn throughout the stay: is this necessary or desirable?

NetherlandsFor the price paid we were expecting a better breakfast. The noise was very difficult to tolerate. They give you earplugs at the check in which is really nice but also says a lot about what you'll experience. The doors of the rooms are not very good and are turned into the main street, you can hear everything as if you were outside. Same goes for the rooftop bar which is on top of the rooms.

United StatesIt's almost impossible to sleep because of the loud noise outside. Between trucks, traffic, dogs barking, it was just too loud to sleep. Everything else was great.
The place was clean, cute, and comfortable. The staff was the best part- super nice and helpful. The rooftop was also a great perk! Shower was hot. Location wise it's very central and right in front of the bus stop.

United StatesExtremely loud music playing in the common spaces and even louder in the rooftop cafe, directly above our room. Everything else about this place is great, but oh, the noise. Besides the music, the Bourbon is directly adjoining the central bus terminal which has buses coming at all hours.
Location is great, comfortable beds, good coffee and breakfast. But SO LOUD!
