How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The air conditioning wall unit had some minor issues but they promptly looked to fix the issue.
Great location located in a prime area. The staff was friendly, amenities were great, WiFi was strong and the bedroom was comfortable.

You can hear music near the bar. And if someone talk at the lobby we can hear what they say.
People are really kind . Room is really clean. Everything is perfect except there is no soundproofing. location is really nice. There are nice restaurant near the hotel

The “curtain” offers barely any privacy in the room when lights switched on in the evenings as it is transparent. A little pricey but I assume this is related to the location.
No comments everything was fine. It is quite far away from the centre (taxi $10 one way), but the area of the hotel is much nicer with numerous options for eating and drinking and shopping around the corner, although the area is relatively expensive. Easy Walking distance to Tica bus terminal. Purified water is provided. Excellent shower and well working Aircon. A few hours early without additional charge.

no box tissue inside the room soundproofing of the walls was thin, my room was facing the backyard where breakfast is served and one point a group came back from the bar and was hanging there talking and I could hear everything. juice served during breakfast was not fresh, it was like a cordial I had to give my keys to the reception in order for them to clean/tidy my room, so it doesn't look like there is a daily housekeeping service
being in San Benito neighbourhood, you are a stone throw away from restaurants/bars in a touristy and safe neighborhood, however this hotel is tucked away from the hustle bustle of it all providing tranquility and peace and quiet. really friendly staff! despite staff not speaking English, I was able to use Google translate to communicate with them in Spanish and they were very friendly, patient and hospitable. there was hot water in the shower! the bin inside the toilet was huge and great in terms of quantity there was a bottle of complimentary water which was a nice touch

It's NOISY, especially on the last day a group came for breakfast not caring about hotel guests. Slamming doors, and street vendors' noise required me to use earplugs. Better insulation and asking guests to keep it quite would make this hotel a 10/10
Possibly my best stay so far in central America. The rooms are well constructed, no tiny holes in the wall for the bugs, everything is clean, AC perfect, bathroom beautifully made, very nice front desk, and my request for an extra day was accommodated.

1. Be careful when getting a room looking into the main street, as the nearby bar/club may push the volume too high. (The hotel moved me the next day to a perfect quick/private room). 2. Don't speak Spanish?! - Get your Google Translate ready as you will need it to communicate with the staff.
Clean and comfortable room with great shower, decor, and WiFi. Morning Breakfast and friendly staff made the visit a pleasant journey. The location was great, with many restaurants, bars, and other stores nearby with a friendly neighborhood vibe.

The staff was extremely helpful in offering directions, how to catch buses, etc. The location is a very safe neighborhood. Lots of great restaurants, shops, etc within walking distance. The rooms were the cleanest I had stayed in throughout El Salvador.

You can hear noise outside the room and hotel but it's ok for me as i'm not a light sleeper and it qctually gives me comfort compared to pure silence
The staff really took the effort to accommodate and talk to me despite the language barrier .they allowed me to check in very early. Very wonderful staff, strong wifi, excellent safe location, and charming room

We registered with a larger group - at check-in they requested each person to come up to the desk with their passports. We haven't encountered this with other hotels in El Salvador. The location requires own transportation.
Overall a great place to stay - exceptionally clean, very modern - the rooms were simply amazing. The hotel staff was very mindful and assisting, prepared to-go breakfast for those who couldn't get breakfast and were understanding when a key was lost for one of the rooms.

This boutique hotel is great in regards with to the personality, the rooms are clean. It is very centric and has so much things to do near by.
