Problems with the water almost everyday. No drinking water, taps or showers when it was of.

The bathroom is tiny and there's no hot water. The roosters are very loud beginning very early in the morning.

Large room that was very clean. Bed is comfortable. Wifi is very good. The owners are very nice and helpful. We left our bags in their house while we did the waterfall trek. Good location close to the mains sqaure. Able to watch Netflix on the TV. Great deal for the pice.

Extremely loud from 5am onwards. The common area was not cleaned properly for the duration of our stay and didn't have enough utensils in the common kitchen for 2 people.

The owner gave us a presentation about Juayúa and showed us all the spots we need to go to (Good guide!). The little rooftop was lovely in the morning.

Great location, clean shared bathroom, good WiFi. There’s also a fridge, microwave and plates to use. Carlos is very friendly and even sent us a guide for Juayúa on WhatsApp after we arrived. Great value for money (especially compared to other places that are way more expensive around here).

The guy working there was really friendly and gave us a lot of amazing recommendations on what to eat and where to go, the room was comfortable, nice little roof terrace to watch sunset or sunrise, and drinking water. It’s in a good location a short walk from the Main Street. Would definitely recommend

Kitchen area was not functioning and there was no fridge. Charges for extra items.Toilet paper needs to be free on demand.

The room was spacious and very clean. Shower had good pressure with a proper shower head. Host was friendly and helpful.

The showers are absolutely freezing!! There is not a kitchen available for use but there is a microwave.

Carlos is a fantastic host! He is so friendly and has created his own guidebook to help you explore the local area/good places to eat etc.

The shared bathroom was a little small - a shelf or hook to put things on whilst you shower would be helpful.

Carlos was possibly the best host we’ve had on all our travels through central and South America. He explained the area and sent us a guide of things to do, and him and his family were always available to answer any questions and provide filtered water. The location is great, 5 mins walk to the main square, and the room is big enough for 2, clean and comfortable. We loved our time exploring the Ruta de las Flores!

The bathroom is very simple. The bathroom door is not fully closed (bottom and top is open (20cm)). After a shower the full bathroom will be wet and because the door is not fully closed even the floor will be wet. It's loud. Churches which sing all day long, dogs which barked. The bed protector sheets always move and could not be fixed.

The owner gave us a lot of information and was very friendly. The room was clean. The family refilled our bottle and provided us dishes.

I think a few things could be improved such as a kitchen. It would have been nice to have a functional kitchen and be able to tap drinkable water there. Although we could use the fridge and water tap at the owners house it was still a bit inconvenient. Something else to take into account are the dogs that bark literally until 3 am. This was horrible and if not for the noise of the dogs this hostel would have gotten a 9 from me.

Fantastic value for money. Lovely big airy room with mountain view’s and plenty of ventilation. Central living area between all rooms with lounge, gas stove, kitchen sink and clothes washing space was useful. Although the property does not state an available kitchen, a fridge, cooking pans and utensils in addition to what is provided would greatly improve this area for guests In saying this, Carlos the host, was more than willing to provide a pot to boil some water for our morning coffee and we were offered his own fridge to store some food items. Carlos spent quite some time informing us of the local area in terms of what we wanted to do and was available immediately for any other questions we had. Along with this he shared with us his online guide book of the local area which we appreciated very much. We met some other friendly travelers here. Excellent wi-fi and Netflix were another bonus. Over all highly recommended for its value for money.

Kitchen was very limited (only microwave, stove but no gas), as mentioned in other comments very cold shower This is not the hostel's fault but the street is loud early in the morning (dogs, street sellers) so not the best sleep.

Cheap, relaxed, we could leave our bags after checkout, good location with easy walk to centre. Carlos the owner is very nice and helpful, he gave us lots of recommendations and has good communication.

The shower needed some work as it did not have a shower head attached. Also the WiFi tended to drop in and out despite them having netflix.

The water is indeed very cold as we saw in previous review but that is because it comes directly from the river.

Location is nice and close to the center. Carlos, the host, is wonderful, he helped us with everything, gave us plenty of recommendations. I highly recommend staying at Hostal Carolinas.

The shower only had cold water but I think that is pretty standard for the area.

Carlos and his family were incredibly helpful and gave us lots of tips for things to do in the area, local restaurants, public transportation and more! The room was clean, spacious and only a short walk from the main square and bus stop.

There was a plastic cover on the bed, which isn't to everyone's taste, but other than that it was perfect.

We had probably the best welcome to a town from our host in this hostel, with so many local reccomendations, knowledge about the area, suggestions of things to do and they even booked a great waterfall tour for us. The room is basic, but nice and clean, and there I access to a nice roof terrace and lots of food within walking distance of the room. Would highly reccomend staying here.

Super noisy at night because of how dogs. The vendors also started making noise at around 5 am. No hot water and no shower head. Sheets didn't fit on the bed and slipped away during night. The bed was very uncomfortable.

Nice atmosphere. Quick responses on questions. Well prepared host. We got many suggestions of what to do. Free refill of filtered water when asking at the parent's room. It was also possible to deposit some small items in the fridge of the parents.

Be aware of the check in times. Host not available between 4-8pm which can be awkward with bus times.

Good location in Juayua. Host was super and gave us lots of information on check in. Microwave available but no fridge or kitchen facilities. Some rooms have TVs with Netflix.

For improvement, in our private room the water didn't go away in the shower. The bathroom was small, so there was water everywhere after the shower. No hot water in the shower. Kitchen was a little dirty and basic. No drinkable water available at all time.

The view from the room was amazing. The room was very big and clean. Felt secured. Carlos gave us a lot of information about the things to do. It was a good stay for the price.

The shower leaked into the room, so had to use our towels to mop it up. We had ants in the room, but it didn't bother us and to be expected. Bed was a bit small

The host was amazing. He gave us so many great reccomendations about what to do in and around the area, and was always available via WhatsApp with any questions we had. The room was big for the two of us and clean. Great views from the the bedroom and roof terrace. Felt very safe in the neighbourhood
