Carlos (the owner) was SO helpful with absolutely everything from our booking, to our transfer, to our food. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well equipped with nice bathrooms. The breakfast is AMAZING and homemade every morning. There’s a really cute pool, nice seating areas, hammocks, and a rooftop. It’s an awesome spot.

What a lovely hostel!!!! The people are so friendly and the food is great. I had a private room and loved how it clean it was (finally a room WITHOUT cockroaches) and a hot shower. Hammocks, a small pool, roof terrace, makes you want to hang out all day and have some chill time. I do want to mention that if you walk the wrong way there are a lot of drunks trying to get your attention. So just keep the direction of the cathedral 😊 It was nice to meet other travellers and take a trip to the volcano together. 100% recommend Casa Verde.

Nothing. It’s really a great hostel.

It’s got everything. Restaurant and bar, swimming pool, air conditioning (for my private room), hammocks, kitchen, snack and drinks for sale, and everything else you can think of. It also offer transportation to Santa Ana volcano hike with lunch at coatepeque lake ($20). It’s very easy to meet people there. Location is great too. 5 minute walk to bus station for buses to ruta flores and 8 minute walk to cathedral.

Everything. This was our best experience during our almost three months long journey in Central America. We understand now why Casa Verde has the best reviews on Booking as well as on TripAdvisor: In the old city center, marvelous beds, great wifi, nice breakfast included, close to everything worth visiting… but with a pool in the courtyard. We could hardly believe it but there it was: a small but very clean and well kept swimming pool. It is a hostal with a very relaxed feel to it but at the same time truly well organized: clean, modern, with the owner Carlos at the helm of his tightly controlled business. It was a pleasure to stay here and if again in Santa Ana we will certainly try to book again. If you are so lucky to find a vacancy here, don’t hesitate. You will not regret it.

What a gem. Carlos the owner is very friendly and helpful, providing all of the contacts necessary for transfers, tours etc. The hostel has a range of accommodation and our ensuite room was terrific. Large enough to feel spacious, nicely fitted out bathroom and a view over the roof tops in Santa Ana. The rooftop terrace was a great place to enjoy a sundowner.

Carlos is a sweetheart and the whole staff deserves 5 stars. Our private room was spacious and comfortable. Location is great, pool and common areas are nice, the breakfast was changing every day. Oh and very high quality coffee!
