Unable to pay with Mastercard credit card so had to use precious dollars. Not their fault, this card (Halifax Clarity) didn't work anywhere in Tajikistan. Visa much more acceptable here.

The location by the opera house is unbeatable. It’s an attractive, low-rise building, solidly built and with large rooms and high ceilings. The staff are professional, helpful, and available at all hours. They also provide free pick-ups from the airport.

The hotel breakfast was okay, but a little limited. Certainly a bit more variation on a daily basis would not hurt.

The hotel manager Mr Amir was excellent,.he helped prepare the hotel document.letter that we needed for our visa, gave information about the local area & helped organise a tour of Dushanbe. The tour was excellent. We had planned to go to Islandarkul lake also but unfortunately due to heavy snowfall we could not go. They also provide a free airport shuttle service. The driver was waiting for us when we arrived. We stayed in 2 King Rooms with a balcony. These were very comfortable & the bed was huge. My two sons had their own room with several beds to choose from. The hotel is next to several good restaurants - The Grill BarBQ cafe next door does excellent steak & good beer for a reasonable price. We ate there three times. There is also a good hot dog place called Izzi Hotdog. Lastly, a big thank you to the receptionists who were all very helpful during our stay.

The mattresses are very hard and ought to be replaced with more comfortable ones.

Rohat has an excellent location overlooking the Opera & Ballet Theatre. The staff are professional and helpful, and the rooms are always clean. I stay here regularly when visiting Dushanbe for work.

The hotel's weakness is its wifi: in some places it was very slow; in others, quite fast.

Rohat Hotel enjoys an excellent position in the centre of Dushanbe. Its staff were exceptionally helpful. The breakfast was a little limited in choice, but good in quantity. Free taxi pickup from airport a big plus.

No refrigerator ( the space was there but no refrigerator). Internet was weak some days and difficult to work. Nice staff but limited English spoken. When opening the window, could be a bite noisy (traffic) and food smell ( from the restaurants in the basement) Trash was not always emptied.

The airport pick-up did not arrive. However, I spoke with the other taxi providers and they took me to the hotel and the hotel paid them direct - so still free. Also, when my husband arrived separately, they also picked him up for free, which was really appreciated.

The lack of water pressure is a big minus and the Internet connection. The bathtub telephone was broken also.

During this hot summer period in the third floor water was missing time to time, but as soon as I was calling the reception they turned on a pump which brings water within 10 minutes.

We liked everything. Be ready to pay in cash, as internet connection might be unstable.

Hotel Rohot is located in the heart of Dushanbe city, near the Opera and Ballet theatre and the main Rudaki avenue. Current hotel building is one of the oldest in Dushanbe. The hotel is rather small and it gives very personal, cosy feeling. Staff is super friendly and helpful. They provided free shuttle from and to the airport, helped us to find taxis, we’re ready to show a bank or explained whatever we needed. Unfortunately, the hotel will occupy the current property until beginning of May 2024, as it was decided by the city to hand over the land plot to some investors whom plan to destroy the old building and to build a commercial centre, instead. It is pity, but hopefully, Rohot will be relocated to another appropriate and cosy building.

A large discrepancy between of the standard of the hotel (2-3 star hotel, outdated, basic) and the ratings they boast - they even show ratings over 9 at the entrance. The hotel is old and in need of at least cosmetic renovations, i.e. walls are not clean, there are stains etc. The bed is not comfortable. The pillows are too high. Noise outside interfering with sleep. Very bad internet, almost impossible to connect from the room for calls and even for emails very slow and gets interrupted often.

The place has a team that makes efforts to make guests welcome. Home-made breakfast. Warm floor in the bathroom makes it comfortable to use the bathroom bare feet. Price and location are definitely its biggest pluses.

prices in Tajikistan are generally higher than neighbouring Uzbekistan or Kyrgyzstan so we considered it pricey.

Great location in walking distance to central sights. Nice atmosphere to wander in the adjacent parks in the evening. Good places to eat close by (loved ‘Tartin’ cafe a short walk away.) Clean, comfortable rooms and staff were very helpful doing everything to make us feel comfortable. Breakfast was not bad

I am not personally a huge fan of breakfast in this region, but it was good, with a good variety for such a small place. But that would be the case anywhere I stayed here.

The location and staff were amazing. Thank you so much! Room was spacious and comfortable and shower was great with a handle or rainfall style shower head choice and very hot water. They also had traditional dress in the breakfast area that you could use to dress up and take photos. Really unique and cool. Thanks!

Breakfast menu options are good but one more hot item for vegetarians would be welcome. Toasting option may be considered.

The Hotel Rohat was exceptional due its location, the staffs' responsiveness and service. It was completely safe and even the smallest thing left behind was safe. Any assistance required was easily and 24 hr available. Food joints, from the elite ones to street types are just a few steps away. There is departmental store having all essential items just a 100 meters away which opens till 2am Dushanbe time. All transports including buses are a minute away. complementary transfer to and fro to Airport is an added bonus. We stayed from 30th June 2022 to 10th July 2022.
