In the dorm, the beds are small, like for teenagers (I'm not tall).

Well located in the center with the proximity louage station and places to eat around the corner. The staff is very welcoming and keen to deliver advice on how to visit the places of interest. For me, the breakfast is alright.

Very friendly hostel. Simple, but clean and comfortable. Kitchen available. I was there during Ramadan. As we didn‘t have food with us, and restaurants were closed at night, the host was so generous to share his own dinner with us.

No toilet seats? Older building. Difficult to say anything negative about these great managers though.

The two managers are a great source of tips and information. I really enjoyed meeting other travellers here. I slept very well here and the croissant provided at breakfast was good. I liked having breakfast or just sitting on the balcony overlooking the busy market. Staff are very nice, helpful and top notch guys. Central location.

If you read review about water shortage, it's probably because the city has water piping installation project and it's only for couple hours/day. By the time you read this review, the water shortage becomes irrelevant.

The host is very friendly and helpful. He can speak English, French, Turkish, Arabic. The breakfast was very good. We stayed in a private double room, parked our rental car in front of the hotel. It was safe. We felt at home. There is water shortage in Tataouine in some hours. The host puts a big vacuum bottle in front of the hotel door and gives free drinkable water to people. He is a great guy.

Central location, clean, nice breakfast, good price! Local Louage Station (I also put it on google maps) is nearby - you can visit Chebika and Ksar Oualed Soltane by louage but consider long waiting times to get back!

Everything was great. For the price the room was very much satisfying.

Staff behavior was very very good. The breakfast was tasty. Boiled egg, bread, jam, butter, tea, pain au Chocolat - it was great. The location is perfect. Very close to the louages stop to go to Ksar Oualed and Chenini - ask the hotel manager and he will let you know. He accepts payment by TND or Euros. The wifi is good.

Comfy enough sleeping arrangements, access to cooking facilities and good wifi, and everything kept clean and tidy. The property is just round the corner from the louage stop, from where you can easily explore the surrounding cave villages that make Tataouine famous. But best of all was the exceptional service from the staff - not only did they go out of their way to fulfil my request for the included breakfast to be served in the evening instead (due to my fasting for Ramadan), they also managed to accommodate my vegetarian diet (far from easy with the local cuisine!), and provided delicious dinner-sized portions, which was far more than I expected and more than they needed to do! When I tried to tip for this the owner humbly rejected my offer, explaining that the most important thing was guest satisfaction and this refreshing attitude was certainly evident during my stay :)

In my private room with en suite bathroom- no hot water, no toilet seat, no toilet paper, bad smell coming from toilet, tv didn't work. In common area bathrooms also no toilet seat or toilet paper.

Very friendly staff. Great place to meet other travelers. Great location, especially as it's so close to the local louage station. Good common areas. Stored my bags at no extra charge when I spent a night somewhere else. Nice outdoor terrace overlooking the local market.

This is a great hostel, and the host and staff make it so. They were helpful in every regard, from day to day information, to solving my passport problem, to arranging an excellent driver for our Berber village tour. Highly recommended!

Because we're in a desert area I already expected some issues with water. Our toilet upstairs didn't work so we used the downstairs one.

Lovely staff, made us feel so at home and helped us with anything we needed. The owner kindly upgraded me and my boyfriend to a double room instead of the triple single bed room we originally booked. The rooms are very simple, but clean and well kept.

Burn marks on bed sheet. There was no toilet paper provided in the toilets, although in this part of the world its fairly standard to carry your own with you so it didn't cause me any bother.

Considering the low price I paid Auberge Alferdaous met all of my expectations. A basic room but comfortable. The owner/manager was great, very friendly throughout and helped me navigate the local louage buses to both Ksar Ouled Soltane and Chenini. WiFi connection was good and it has a nice central location in the town.
