Great location next to the medina, kind staff, good value if you are travelling on a budget. They also reserved us a seat in front of the hotel.

It was a little bit noisy late at night and early in the morning. The room is good for one person but would be a little cramped for a couple.

The staff were very helpful. The room was cosy and clean.

The hotel is narrow so there's street noise coming from the front and back, plus the lousy timing of heavy reconstruction beginning every morning at 7am with a building just behind. I had asked for a quiet room. Families with children were placed in rooms on either side of me, though the facility appeared to be empty on my floor and others. I also did not appreciate that the housekeeper took it upon themself to repack all of my things and rearrange the room after the first day of cleaning. I ask for no service after this.

Room was ok as a place to shower and sleep. Location was fine off to side of the Medina. It's a rough looking, filthy area though I never felt unsafe. The staff was extremely helpful with advice on what to do around the city and country.

There is some noise on the first floor. If you want to sleep well, you should stay on the second floor

I would have liked more choice for breakfast, such as eggs, cheese, cold meats, but that was a minor issue & wouldn’t stop me staying again if I return to Tunis.

Great location next to the medina. The room was clean & comfortable, nicely furnished, the shower had constant hot water & the price was very reasonable. The staff were friendly & helpful & the coffee in the bar was the best I had in Tunis.

Big stress on arrival: the staff cancelled our booking at the last minute and gave our room to someone else even though we had booked 2 days in advance. Luckily we found a solution but had to move rooms during the stay. Second point: I forgot a t-shirt in the previous room, went to look for it the next day. The staff had found it but threw it away, thinking it was trash. Not a way to handle lost and found. Quite disappointing…

When we wanted to pay late at night the receptionist wanted to keep our passports until the morning, it’s a minor thing but didn’t make either of us feel very comfortable.

The location was great, felt safe and was close to the Médina. We were supposed to show up at 6pm but our flight was very delayed and we didn’t get to the hotel until close to midnight. The staff were super accommodating and helped us check in late. They were available 24/7. It was a good value for the money.

Great, helpful, staff at the reception. A nice, clean, cosy room with heating (really appreciated). An interesting vintage decor. Convenient location (20 min walk from the train station, 10 min drive to the airport) in a nice area with old architecture and plenty of local eateries.

Very friendly staff. Good location on the edge of the medina and close to Avenue Bourguiba. Excellent value for money with a nice basic breakfast included in the price.

The only thing they can improve it’s the shower support. It was broken, but it wasn’t a problem. We took a good shower there.

Regarding Hotel Le Calife we really liked the location. Its in the same street of the Medina. And there are many cheap restaurants close by. The staff was so kind and they speak English, French and Arabic.
