How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Arrived around noon and wasn't problem to check-in me earlier than 3 pm. Location - close to city center. Colin and his daughters very nice and helpful persons. Highly recommend.

Looking for a home away from home? Tired of mass-market hotel chains? Want an authentic experience? Culture Crossroads Inn is the place for you! Colin and Donna and their team are gracious and heartwarming hosts who go the extra mile to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. They provided me with regular updates on cultural events and gave me a great insight into their country. I booked for 2 weeks and extended for another 2 weeks. Breakfast was excellent, with fruit, vegetables and a daily choice of more continental or more Trinidadian flavours. Trust Donna's suggestions blindly, it doesn't get any better than this! The room was spacious, clean and fully equipped. A shopping mall is 3 minutes walk away. There is also a stop at the mall for inexpensive shared taxis into the central city. Everything else you could possibly ask for, from pubs to restaurants to supermarkets, is within walking distance. The hotel is located at an intersection, but traffic is slow, limited and you won't hear traffic noise.

Nothing, they’re excellent.
Excellent hotel! Everyone was hospitable, cordial, and extremely helpful during my trip. Truly a five star staff. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Plenty of storage and closet space. Great soundproofing. And the rainfall shower head was an absolute dream. Highly recommend getting the breakfast here. Every meal was amazing. Neighborhood itself is walkable, there’s lots of cute shops, restaurants and cafes in the area. Plus the mall is right up the street.

Next time I go I have to ask for a room upstairs. The person in the room above mine was moving around alot at certain times.
The place was good. I was comfortable. I was happy that I had an ironing board and iron in my room. Some places you have to go in a common area for that.

Great location - nice neighbourhood close to a mall and supermarket. The room had everything needed & was comfortable. The highlight were the wonderful, warm & welcoming staff. Family owned business with each staff putting in personal care to help out wherever they could to make sure you had a great stay. Would definitely love to come back. Thank you to everyone!

What's not to like
definitely a 4 star inn posing as a 3 star. Staff was delightful and the owner Colin, was the most gracious and accomodating host you could hope for.

The hotel was a cab ride from the center of Port of Spain and if you access TT ride share (a bit like Uber) you could get around easily as there is not too much locally.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating as we arrived early for check-in and only one of our rooms was ready. They allowed us to store our bags and go and get some lunch until both rooms were ready.

Daylight light bulbs would be better in the bathroom for makeup application. To compensate I stood by the window and applied buy makeup.
Location was central to all of errands and events.
