Futuristic theme simple but gives fun atmosphere. Beds are almost self contained pods, very large and comfortable. Common area very social. Towels, air plugs etc provided for small fee.

In men toilets might be some kind of curtain to protect the privacy (view) while women is walking around the bathroom. However it didn't affect my stay in any way. Just a little notice.

Nice, clean and calm place 2 minutes from station. I spent there a night in very modern bed capsule. Interesting experience. I forgot my plug there and they send mi it back. Thank you so much!

Not many people staying here so hard to meet people

Close to the train station. Beds were private and interesting. Lots of bathroom and common area space. Coffee machine was good as well

The place is away from the hustle and bustle, very quiet. Its ok, but one just have to plan well for food as eateries are distance walk away (have to go through the railway station to exit at the front gate to access to Jiayi main streets).

The hotel is next to the Jiayi railway station. I made a mistake of arriving Jiayi by THR which stop at the THR railway station at the outskirt of Jiayi. But fortunately, there is a shuttle bus from the THR station to the central railway station. Just show the THR ticket and get a free shuttle bus ride. The shuttle bus terminal stop is exactly at the rare gate of Jiayi railway station. The hotel is about 500m walk from the railway station. The hotel has earlier sent me the passcode to ride the lift as the reception is at the 3rd floor, but I did not read the mail. But I still could call the front desk and they happily provide me the passcode to ride the elevator. I was greeted by a very friendly staff, and he showed me my room and took me around to familiarise with the available facilities. It was a wonderful experience. That night I bought take-out and dined at the common area. Maybe my stay was during off-season, I have the whole common area all by myself. There were plenty of tea selection and a coffee machine for fresh coffee. They also have water counter where one can fill up drinking water. I had a single room, though it is small and without window, but I have the privacy and an ensuite bathroom/toilet. Overall, my stay here was really great.

Minutes walk from Train station. a great transit hotel for travelers. Did not try the capsules, but looks very comfortable. Extreme comfortable stay for me. Excellent staff service to guide foreign traveler.

Not the hostels fault, but the pedestrian bridge is under maintenance so getting across the station to the other half of the city was tedious.

There weren't many food options around the location.

The staff was fantastic. By the end of my stay, the elevator was not functioning. They actually carried my luggage downstairs for me. Great location to all connections to touristic areas.

Perfect location next to the train station and the bus that takes people to Alishan. The little room is great, clean, and comfortable. The staff is kind and professional. The common area is great, too. The laundry machine is a great bonus.

My go to place if I need to catch the early train to Alishan. Shuttle from HSR to the interchange is super convenient, and the hotel is just a few steps away from where you get off. Third time here, everything is perfect, Staff are helpful with late check-in, really appreciate your kind assistance with payment since it’s not so straightforward to transfer money from an overseas account to local bank. Been to countless capsules/budget places both in and outside Taiwan and this is still my favourite one.

The place has a great location just behind the train station, so it’s very easy to go to the bus stop to Alishan the next morning. I was able to leave my luggage there for two nights before continuing on. I upgraded to a private room so can’t say anything about the capsules. The private double room was very clean, you get free coffee, tea and toast and the staff is very friendly.

The pods are made out of plastic, and although they look cool, they are not soundproof at all. Quite noisy even when you move arround a bit.

The hotel staff was extremly welcoming and showed me everything. It was clean, even tough there were quite a lot of people. The staff also made sure you had everything, even something to eat and drink:)

Hostel is located at the rear station of Chiayi TRA, hence we have to pass the overhead bridge to get to the main side, which takes around 5-10 minutes and the bridge will close at 12AM. Room was quite small and we had problems opening our luggage, but this is understandable as it is out of the owners control too. However, these factors would not affect my stay and will definitely visit again!

The owners were really friendly and helpful! The boss introduced us around to the facilities during checkin and guided us on travel itinerary in Chiayi. We felt very welcomed and at home, and that align with the purpose of a hostel. Room and toilet were very clean and comfy. There were not much noise. There's a common space for stayers to hang out and free snacks and drinks too! In the morning, they provide free toast with different spreads options. Definitely one of the best hostel experience I had and will definitely revisit again! Thank you for hosting us Planet 23!

It might be because Chiayi is very touristic and I booked sort of last minute, but it was pricer than the average I paid for hostels in Taiwan, and the quality was also better, but you still have to pay extra if you want towels

The facilities are great, the staff is super nice, the location in great (just behind the train station)
