Curtains in the dorm bunks were not much good - if the person in the bunk next you you had their light on it shines into your bunk too. Bring you eye mask!

Nice friendly hostel with a good sized dorm room, nice facilities and a very playful cat! Very helpful staff at reception more than happy to offer excellent tips / ideas for the area. Would definitely stay here again.

The boss is super nice. The service is prompt, detail-oriented and friendly. The location is quite convenient in the Taitung City center. Talk around 1-2mins walk to famous Taitung Night Market. And it can all the way walk down to Tie Hua Village to enjoy the music night.

Bed curtains cover about half of the length of the bed. What's the point except maybe to block some light?

The room was clean and the bed VERY comfortable. There was a safe place inside to store our bicycles.

The 10 people dorm is actually a 20 people dorm (2 stories connected by stairs) and with that comes not the most silent atmosphere in the room (still okay but could be hard for light sleepers). Moreover, the air gets quite thick over the night and the curtains dont close over the full length of the bed.

Very cozy and clean hostel. The breakfast is decent and the cat is very cute. The people working there are expectionally kind :) You get your moneys worth and I would definitely come back again!

I wish the curtains in the bed provided total privacy but the cover 80% which is better than nothing!

Super cute hostel! It has the comfiest dorm beds i’ve ever slept in. There were people in the lobby most nights I was there which was fun. The staff was super helpful with recommending places to get food and gave me good advice about my itinerary for Taitung.

I really found a piece of home here. The staff is super friendly, and made sure I had a new, different place to eat everyday. I am grateful for the conversations with Sarah, and the little attentions from Didi. And fun times with the cat Audi! The hostel is nicely located near the bus station and 7-11/family mart nearby, and lots of good food. It's really clean and there is parking space for scooters, and an inner yard for your bicycle.

I very much enjoyed my stay. A friendly welcome, safe indoor storage for my bicycle, clean and comfortable dorm room and good breakfast. Also a marvellous cat. What's not to like?

Kind-of complicated entry via RFID keys. Do not expect 24/7 counter-service or help after 9pm. Not a problem for me - but note a very cute cat lives onsite should one be allergic to cats.

Typical Hostel, kind staff - one english speaking staffer was very helpful. For a one night stay near the train station, this is both comfortable and ideal.

The curtains on the beds only covered part of the bed.

I felt very welcomed when I arrived. I was told the best places to eat and sights to visit. The place was clean. The breakfast was fantastic. They provided fruit, toast and, cereal. It was within walking distance of the ocean. The place is close to the bus station. You can catch a bus easily from the train station to get dropped off within a few minutes of 40INN. Their cat was adorable.

It’s a very comfortable accommodation experience for me. Both the location and facilities are super nice and also the hostel fee is reasonable. It’s absolutely a great choice when you’re visiting Taitung. And of course I will come back again in the near future.

Nothing much really. Maybe a little shelf or little basket to put little personal stuff like phone, glasses etc in the dorm beds. (I was on the bottom bunk. But was told the day I left the top bunk had a small basket)!

One of the hostels that really cares about their guests! Listens to your needs and gives recommendations to best utilize your time whilst in Taitung, from places to see and best places to eat. As for the property itself; in downtown Taitung and very central like 5 minutes from night market and 5 minutes to the central bus station. All the downtown attractions is walkable from hostel. It's around 15 minutes by bus from Taitung Train station. Very clean throughout from lobby, bathroom/toilets to the dorms. Would have been nice if the bed curtains goes all the way round the bed for full privacy but all the other advantages of the hostel outweighs this. The dorm bed is comfortable (not the hard type) and room had a personal locker that can fit laptop/tablets and daypack and maybe a small carry on baggage so a good decent size. Female dorm they also had free face cleansing pads, cotton buds, body moisturizer. Need own towels though. But I think you can rent from them, I had my own so don't know cost. Free simple breakfast but it was so comfortable I slept in most days and didn't have any. Other guests told me simple spread of toast, cereal and fruits. Not bad to include this type of breakfast for a dorm bed price. Has fridge but cannot cook in kitchen. However can bring food and eat in lobby/kitchen area. No washing/drying facilities but there is a 24 hour laundromat next door. So it has everything one needs for a good comfortable few days stay in Taitung. Would fully recommend this place and definitely stay here again (I actually extended already a couple days here this trip!) next time in Taitung. Great job in operating this hostel to the owner Diddy and staff Sarah and Ann... including Audi the ginger cat :-)

Hostel rooms were comfortable with light by the bed, charging sockets and curtains. Everything including rooms and bathrooms was very clean. They have a water refill station and even breakfast. Hosts are a straight 11/10, they were super friendly and helpful, advised me on nearby places to visit, and how to travel to desirable destinations. The location is perfect, downtown and 5 walking minutes from the local bus station. They also have a very sweet cat.

Nothing, it’s spot on

Really relaxed place with a nice calm feel about it. The lounge are is comfortable and low decent music in the background. Sarah and Diddy are both really nice, Sarah speaks perfect English and is really helpful. Audi the cat thinks he’s a dog, watch him play fetch, it’s great
